"The return of the Stage Series guitars, this guitar is built to rock with style. This classic beauty is adorned with a stunning flamed maple top and neck binding. Comes equipped with chrome hardware, brass nut and brass inlays. No-holds-barred tone comes from the DiMarzio pickups that deliver solid crunch and creamy sustain"

Blah blah blah description from musicians friend

Sound : 10
The Dimarzio pick ups are very versatile with the coil taps. And the tone knobs actually work. The bridge humbucker seems to have some highs rolled off for a somewhat Santana type sound. Not that pronounced but definitely a smooth humbucker. The Neck pick up is nice and airy. Nothing really unique but good clear sound on overdrive or clean. The brass nut really helps with the sustain but doesn't really affect the sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The action from the factory left a lot to be desired but it was pretty easy to adjust the neck and bridge pieces. It has a pretty flat neck with slightly wider than normal string spacing. At first I thought they were a little far apart but later realized that this makes for very comfortable chording higher on the neck. Also it makes fast lead passages a little cleaner.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Nice weight and good detail work. The headstock matches the body which is a nice touch. Grover tuners work well. Love the hockey stick too. So 80s!

What a great unique guitar. It looks different, has a signature sound and plays great. Nice flame top and good finish work. Glad I got my limited edition re-issue before they stopped making them.
