Made in China in 2001, it has 21 frets and has a laminated top which most electric/acoustics have in this price range. The electronics are a Equis tuner pre-amp, now i haven't played it through an amp yet but the tuner works like a dream. the body look like its made from mahogany and so does the neck, the fretboard is rosewood and is fast. the neck is thin, which is great for me since i like to play fast. the finish a standard clear finish, which is a little glossy for my taste. tuners and schallers which take a beating and keep it in great tune. i do have to say that it does buzz at the 9th fret on the A string. but can be fixed probably with a little truss rod adjustment. accessories were nothing but a allen wrench for your truss rod.

i like to play country and rock. it fits my style very well, you can play or back boom-chick-boom style country rhythm as well and playing lead styles too. bending the strings is a little tough, basically because the fretboard is a little slippery, but with age it will get better. doesn't have as much bottom end as i would like, and also its not a great fingerpicking guitar.

the action is low, barre chords are easy, lighting fast runs and scale playing is easy as well. the bridge pins are a little tough to get after when changing strings, which when your changing strings it takes patience. the finish on the top is a little to glossy for my taste, but you will definitely get over it.

this guitar will definitely withstand live playing situations. the tuners like i said are very reliable. i don't have to tune it every 10 minutes like i do with some guitars. just tune it up when you first start playing at your set. my main beef about this category is it only has one strap button, so you will have to have one installed and use a convention strapping techinique with it attached to the headstock. this guitar is very dependable, but you may need another guitar for fingerpicking duties. and it also let you change string gauges pretty easily as well.

This is a standard acoustic, Mfged in China in 2001. It is a 21 fret model with a laminated top with cutaway. Has the Washburn Equis Tuner Pre-amp with built in tuner & Schaller die cast tuners. The neck is very playable due to it's thin design and medium wide fret board. From the looks the body & neck seem to be made of Mahogany. No accessories other than the standard truss rod tool.

It handles country & rock very well. The overall sound is very cutting. It has a bit more of a treble sound when played without pickup, but I find that to be problem with most cutaway's in the lower price range.
The pre-amp is very well made, it has a presence slide which really gets a good bite. The pre-amp remained very stable with no audible noise at very loud settings. I was able to get the Nashville rhythm sounds as well as very bright picking tone. The outs are 1/4 phone as well as XLR which eleminates the need for a direct box. I played through an old solid state amp and didn't get any type of feed back or the normal frying bacon sounds. For an almost entry level price, this guitar seems very much more.

The out of box action was good. I will have to do a minor neck adjustment to cure a buzzing fret sound occuring between the 3rd & 5th fret's. There are some flaws but nothing to go nuts over. There are some places where the undercoat was either put on to thin or just didn't take. The laminated top has bookmatched sides laminated to the main center section. In my opinion this adds a lot of character to the guitar. The interior bracing had only one flaw that I could find, this being a slight gap at the back joint. This was only visible with a flash light.

I have played semi & full-time professional and would put this guitar against a lot of the more expensive acoustics. The hardware is solid and my experience with Schaller says it will take a beating. As with most acoustics the end peg is plastic. This feature will soon be replaced on mine with a standard elec. guitar strap button. I can't be sure about the finish. I think the top clear coat is right which will eliminate the problem where the underlayer might be a little thin.
I would not hesitate to use this guitar on stage with no back up.

I have been playing for 30 years. My other instuments are Fender USA Jax 5 string bass, Takamine classical, Yamaha SE200 elec. My main rig is an Ampeg isovent cabinet 2x15 & 2x10 w/horn, powered by ADA B500 watt amp. I use a Peavey bassist preamp & Ampeg preamp. My guitar amp is a Rickenbacker solid state. If this guitar was lost/stolen I would not hesitate to replace it with the same model. I compared this to most all Fender, Takamine, Ibanez, Gibson models under $500.00 and this took the cake.
