I have no idea when this classical guitar was made or where as i got it second hand. It as 18 1/2 frets (body starts at 12) It as a solid top i think but it's hard to really tell. The guy i got it from said it was spruce top but i'ed bet the guitar it was cedar. The back and sides are hi gloss rosewood with trim all over the corners. The fret board is real ebony and not painted. The tuners are gold normal classical with those plastic nobs that are ulgy but seem to be a must for a classical guitar. The neck is wide but not to fat and the action is perfect (I played a $900 Yamaha who's action sucked compared to this one.)

Sound : 10
I was impressed with the sound of this guitar with the first note i played. It's tone is crisp and loud, compared to most classicals which sound like the bass and mid have been jacked up. (this renforced the idea that it is a solid top.) Even with the low action there is no fret buzz unless your playing some thing other than classical. The sound was the #1 reason i bought this guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
I don't know if this guitar had it's action modified in a shop or not but something tells me it did, most midrange classicals don't have action this well adjusted. The top and back are book matched (or appears so). This is a very well made guitar and the quality suprises me the more i use it. It was second hand so there was a few little dings but nothing you would see at first glance. The action was the #2 reason i got this guitar.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I wouldnt use this guitar in a gig because i don't play classical any further than my living room. It is a solid guitar thats all ready 4-5 years old and could still stand in a show room. a little wipe with a cloth is all it needs.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 9
I have been playing around 15 years and play guitar (Ovation C Delux 12 string & westone Prestige 150), Banjo(Kent 5 string), bodhran and mandolin. The guitar i just reviewed isnt made anymore but i would buy it agian if given the chance. I like everything about it and to buy the same quality guitar new it would have cost me ~$700.
