I have now two custom shop dimes, and the one i am choosing to revue is the stealth with a diamond plate top. No this isnt the cheap production model without beveled edges. The body style like i said is the stealth, it has a mahogany body with a maple neck and top and the diamond plate on top of that (HEAVY guitar). The diamond plate extends to where the gray is on the regular stealth and has a smooth transition between it and the beveled edges of the wood. It has 22 nicely finished frets on the nicest piece of ebony (set neck) I have ever seen. The inlays are diamonds like the ones on the plate and at the 12 fret it says HATE, all of which costed 300 bucks extra (to bring the cost to 3100) The pickups include a Seymour Duncan in the neck (model unknown) and Dimebags new Washburn signature model pickup in the bridge for a H/H pickup style. It has an offical licensed Floyd Rose trem with locking nuts and Sperzel locking tuners. The neck is very fat compared to most jap guitars like Ibanez and some Jacksons, but i enjoy it that way. It gives me something to hold on to. If you wanted to you could play fast on it, I dont, i enjoy huge rhythm. The electronics include two volumes, one for each pickup and a master tone with a three way selector and an input jack on the front

I play in a death metal band and this guitar is IT. it has the looks and the sound of everything metal. It has a full, round sound when distorted, however it is too trebley when you play clean due to the diamond plate top. I run this guitar through a Dunlop mono volume metal and a Korg DTR-1 tuner straight into a Framus Cobra with two Framus Dragon 4x12s with vintage 30 Celestions. I use an Aphex aurel exciter and a DBX 1066 compresso in the loop. THe guitar can handle ANY sound

PERFECT, but for over 3000 it should be. three complaints. 1, it took 6 months to make. 2, they didnt buff all the compound off from between the neck and neck pickup and 3, there is a hair in the paint on the neck near the joint. The frets were excellent, they were finished great and set perfect. No rough edges around the fretboard. I tune to C# one and one half steps down so i had to set the guitar up for that, but it stays in tune very well and the inotation is still very near perfect. the neck is straight and the neck joint is very strong. They had all the knobs and hardware adjusted perfectly, nothing was loose. Even the nut was cut to accomodate the 13-52 gauge strings i use

The guitar has made it one year playing with a death metal band. Only thing is, i want a stainless steel bridge because i sweat when i play and the saddles are begining to rust. the luster of the diamond plate has yet to wear off after all the playing and the finish is still black as night with little to no scratches
