I got this guitar as a little present from my dad. It has a bold rich sound and beautiful over-tones. It is a real thick guitar so bar chords are a little buzzy but a little hand exercise can help with that. The hammer ons are very distinct so you don't have to pound you finger on the string. Just set your finger down and let it go.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion

Reliability/Durability : 8
The guitar so far seems very dependable.

This is a 1998 model according to the serial number inside. Not sure where made. 20 frets on a Gibson-style set mahogany neck with fast-action, slick rosewood fretboard. Laminated "caribbean blue" top, which is quite distinctive and beautiful, and looks like one of those quasi-psychadelic pictures that reveals a sailboat after staring at it for 30 minutes. Solid spruce top with mahogany sides and back. Dreadnought style and a rather thick guitar. After exclusively electric guitars, it took me a little time to get used to that, but now it's comfy. No frills headstock with Grover's excellent silver tuners. The plastic white nut is also pretty good. Nothing -- not even a case -- came with this guiter, but it was a great deal so I didn't care.

"Rallie" suits my style perfectly. I play mostly blues instrumental explorations, but occasionally rock, jazz, funk, and classical (I guess a little of everything). I also write my own songs which cover a wide range, mostly pop. No amp as it is fully acoustic. I'm no fingerpicker, so I flatpick like Clapton and Hendrix (at my best, trust me). This guitar is cool because it balances my tenor voice with its quality-sounding bass, and the highs are creamy in a stinging kind of way. I wouldn't practice early Metallica riffs on this thing, but that's no what it was built for. If I'm not careful, V chords sound too bassy, but that comes with the way the body resonates.

Got this guitar used. Doesn't seem that used, but there is some wear at the fret ends and the dot inlay at the 17th fret has a tiny chip on one side. Like I said, a fairly thick guitar, so possibly some getting used to. Bridge and top are of above average to excellent quality. Strings are comfortable -- still the ones it "wore" back from the store. Wonder which brand? Action is a little high, like I like it.

Very durable, light, impressive-looking guitar. Won't pass off for a flagship Martin, but it's not trying to (and probably you're not trying to if you use this in a gig). Just recently bought this so no gigs to judge yet, but my style is leaning toward blues acoustic, so this works splendidly. Dependable for sure, but take some electrics for God's sake if you want to have a diverse gig.

Never dealt with Washburn. Apparently a lifetime warranty. It's also the most popular/bought guitar in the world, so I'm not worried. The D-10 has a steadily good reputation.

This is a really good guitar. It's light and easy to play, and to make it do what you want. Not fully diverse, but great for what it's made for, especially for the price. A great value and excellent beginning/intermediate acoustic guitar. I would replace if lost or stolen, but I sold some electric gear for this and cash back, so I am looking for other electric models and amps for recording. I love the guitar's ease of use, weight, and look, and dislike some of the neck flaws (which are extremely small -- I'm being picky). I compared it to other similar-quality and priced acoustic-onlys, and it kicks ass. It's got sensitivity and pure balls -- sometimes all at once!
