Good sound. Not too bright not to mellow. Especially good when plugged into an acoustic amp.

Beautiful workmanship and high gloss finish. The action was very high but this was easily remedied by reducing the height of the saddle. I was unable to find any defects with the workmanship. The tuners stay tuned.

I leave this out as my practice guitar. It has been bumped and banged but the gloss finish holds up. I have owned it for 4 years and play it every day, sound and finish have not deteriorated at all.

I have been playing for over 20 years and this is a great sounding and looking acoustic guitar. Especially for the money. I also own a Martin DC-16RGTE and this is a close second. Tonality of the wood is a bit lower and the quality of the piezo pickup is a bit lower as well.

Cutaway model-Believe this guitar was made in Korea. Solid cedar top. B-band active electronics and Grover tuners. Nice thin neck. Came with tools and bridge lifters. Beautiful looking guitar with MOP inlays but that's where it ends. Bought from Musiciansfriend.com from the Clearance Dept. Supposedly listed for about 700.00 according to them.

This guitar does not fit my musical style very well at all. I play a lot of easy rock - Eagles,Neil Young, Steven Stills, etc. There is not much unplugged volume so it is not good for strumming. The b-band electronics are good with out a lot of feedback through my TOA powered mixer but the guitar still sounds kind of trebly. It does sound ok when finger picked - and that is all I use it for.It really lacks in the bass department - probably because of the cedar top. This is the only guitar I've had with a cedar top.I've heard they give a warm sound but this one sounds almost dead.It came with vinci strings and thought if I changed them it would sound better - no dice. next time I'll try elixir"s and hope for the best.

Every thing seemed fine from the factory except for a little string buzz on low E. Straight neck,no messy glue globs inside. Craftsmanship seemed pretty decent except for the buzz - it only happens when I play it hard. Also action was a little high for me but I brought it to a luthier and he hooked me up. Now it plays a lot easier.

Do not believe the cedar top would do well playing it a lot live but would be ok for backup. Then again I think of Willy Nelson's Guitar with the Grand Canyon Type hole in the middle of his guitar.Hardware seems sturdy and sure it would be dependable.I wouldn't use this as a main guitar because the sound is too trebly but just for soft ballads and backup.

Customer support at Musiciansfriend.com was fair and even friendly but when I wanted to speak to a technician they said I had to email them and they would get back to me in a few days. Not a good way to run a business.

I've been playing seriously for about 30 years. I also own an Alvarez ad60ck ac/el, a Tanara Jumbo ac/el, a kona k2 ac/el and an old D'Augustino acoustic. All of the guitars blow this one away. This guitar looks nice but would rather play an ugly guitar that sounds good than a nice looking guitar that sounds like doo doo.
If this one were lost I wouldn't fret too much. If it were stolen I would be pissed and probably beat the guy over the head with "this" guitar because my other guitars are much too valuable to ruin. In either case I would not replace it with another one. As a matter of fact since they were on clearance I don't belive they make them anymore (I wonder why ?). I wouldn't even buy a used one.

Solid cedar top
Quilted ash back and sides
Full-size dreadnought body with cutaway
18:1 Grover tuners
Equis preamp with 3-band EQ with presence and volume controls
One 1/4" unbalanced
It doesn't have every bell and whistle on it (like a built in tuner) but for the price there are a lot of features.

Acoustically the sound is very full and balanced. Open chords are full and rich, as are chords higher up on the neck. I like it because the sound isn't overly bright, it's very mellow and smooth - which makes it very forgiving when my fingers don't do what my brain wants them to.
Plugged in to our Carvin PA it sounds even better than it does unplugged. It gives a true respresentation of the unplugged sound.

Out of the box the action was excellent. I didn't find any flaws anywhere on the guitar.

I played live with this within 24 hours of receiving it and it seems to be very reliable. I have no reason to believe that the electronics would fail, but I carry a DiMarzio sound hole pickup as a backup, just in case.

I've never dealt with Washburn directly so I can't comment on their service. However, Music Mart in Moline, IL is an authorized Washburn dealer and they provide excellent support, so I have no worries.
