The Wayne Star I received was handmade by Wayne and Michael Charvel.Made in 2005 and in the USA.The guitar has a birdseye maple neck and matching fingerboard,22 frets,a single Seymour Duncan JB humbucker,Floyd Rose with D-tuna.The body is alder and has an incredible flame graphic by Michael Charvel.Michael used a nitrocellulose finish on this and then reliced it to make it look like an old star body charvel from the early 80s.The tuners are Gotoh. The neck is perfect. Its thin and has jumbo frets and plays effortlessly. The scale is 25.5. The guitar came with a G&G case with all the allen wrenches for the Floyd Rose,D-Tuna and a packet to keep out the moisture.

This guitar is ready right out of the case.In fact,Thats what I did.It arrived,I opened it,tuned it,plugged it in for a few minutes then took it to a gig and played the whole night with it.I play in an 80s cover band and the Wayne is perfect for me.I use 3 amps an old Randall RG100,Hughes and Kittner MKII Triamp, and an old modded Marshall JMC800.I have no problems with noise.Total tone out of this guitar. It has sustain forever and is totally rich and full even when its not plugged into an amp.Its really loud not even plugged into an amp when I m just sitting around the house playing late at night.I can get the Brown sound,Ratt,Dokken and other 80s sounds as well as the Nu metal stuff.By just backing off the volume on the guitar I can get that old school 70s Marshall sound as well.

This guitar was gig ready right out of the case.As I stated earlier I took this right out to a gig ang played all night with it,no problems at all!!!Everything was as it should be.Wayne and Michael do everything right.Wayne and Michael do not cut corners.Everything on this guitar is superb.I can t tell you enough how outstanding the quality of Wayne guitars is!!!Michael really outdid himself on the finish. He reliced everything on this, screws, the pickup, the Floyd, everything. And the grapic is unreal!!! He is a true craftsman.

This is now my main guitar and I trust it enough to use it without a back up.It hasnt let me down yet.All the hardware is top notch.real Floyd Rose,Gotoh tuners. The only thing I would change about the Wayne are the strap buttons. They work fine, but I prefer the old Jackson huge strap holders.Thats a 5.00 fix on my part.Thats due to the star shape and how and where you attach the strap. The Wayne strap buttons work fine on strat style guitars and this is me being extra anal with my favorite guitar.

Wayne and Michael are the easiest guys to deal with.Every time I call about a guitar we usually end up talking for 30 minutes about stuff. They have always returned my calls and have never left me hanging.Earlier this year Michael sent me a different star body and it was supposed to have a Duncan Distortion in it,but it had a Duncan JB it in.I called and he sent out a Duncan Distortion that day to me at no cost.He is totally a man of his word.

I have been playing 25 years now and of course I love and own old Charvels and Jacksons as well as a couple old Kramers. This guitar is better in all aspects than those I listed above. With out a doubt I would replace it asap if I lost it.The thing I love most is the neck and the tone. The only thing I wish it had sometimes is a TransTrem. The reason I chose a Wayne is that its the best guitar made today and its made by 2 guys in Cali, not a factory clinging on to the good old days.I will continue to do buisness with Michael and Wayne. They simply build the best guitar.
