I've been playing for 30 years and had loads of guitars but this one is amazing played straight into a valve amp .I love the look of this guitar it is really eye catching and looks like it cost loads when it is unbelievably cheap .Would buy one if i lost mine cos it looks fab sat in the corner of room and it is impossible not to pick it up and play when seen.It is not my gigging guitar cos i need a solid body with a trem to bash around on stage{I play punkish stuff] but it is a guitar that I play daily at home and occassionally play live.

This Year 2006 made in Korea I think. It jhasw 21 frets & is nan f-holed archtop (Beautifully made) It has 2 vol & 2 tone controlsw w2ith a 3-way selector (Rhythm-Treble) It has Gold platede dual humbuckers. Finished in a satin sunburst (Light Sunburst. The style of this archtop is close to a Gibson D-series (which retails for $6000) The price for the Wesley is #179 new! yet I got it in new condition from ebay for#72 & #20 postage a real bargain. They seem to be locking tuners of the Grove3r type. It has a medium rosewood neck which is verty comfortable. I did not get any accessories. But for it's price I was delighted.

Soundwise surprised me, I wasn't e3xpecting too much as I plugged this guitar into my 10 watt Kustom practice amp & nearly fell off my chair at half volume it's deafning! The sound is rich but with adjustment can be quite bright....For blues this is spot on!

The guitar was not set up properly but a friend of mine who is brilliant & set up loadws of guitars will do that later. The action is fairly fast.I get a nasty fret buzz from the 6th but my friend will sort that out But I think everything else is correct.

I use the local recording studio a lot..I don't do live gigging the guitar seems a bit fragile to stand up to heavy work like that...but should I ever gig with it I would take my Les Paul for back up.The finish is reaqlly Beautiful. the goldplaqted hardware looks good. And with TLC it should stay that way

I have been playing for over 30 years, I am a songwriter.& it looks lik I might get signed very soon.I own H7H stack gear a Les Paul guitar.and a 500 watt stereo amp...+ little guitar effects.I love the look of this archtop the finish is absolutely beautiful second to none. It isw a copy of the D-sries Gibson but in my view looks juswt as pretty I've never played the Gibson so I edon't the difference if any! Well I've seen countless archtops but this one is the prettiest

Presumably made this year, tho' exactly where is open to question.
Hollow hardwood body with a ash top finished in sunburst, with 2 bound f-holes. Maple neck with a 22 fret rosewood fretboard. Dual humbucker with a 3 way toggle switch, and 2 volume/2 tone controls. Harp tailpiece, with a floating tunomatic style bridge, and unknown tuning pegs. A fattish neck, but very comfortable to play. All in all, very similar in design/looks to the old Gibson D-series jazz guitars. Put simply, it looks stunning. It came supplied with a truss rod key and a jack to jack cable.

The dual humbuckers are excellent, not the best I've ever heard by any means, but more than adequate. Each pickup gives plenty of variety of sound, and for me, more importantly, they are very quiet. Perhaps the tone controls could be more responsive, tho' they're not restrictively so. Sound wise, a typical big body jazzer, tho' not restricted to that type of sound. Used with my Digitech RP50, this guitar can roar with the best of them.

The overall finish was flawless, and the action was good, tho' there were a couple of minor fret buzzes. Nothing that couldn't be quickly sorted out with a fret file anyway, and now the action is superb. The pickup were perfectly adjusted. Like a lot of guitars, the nut was set too high for my taste, tho' no biggie to adjust.

Here's my only concern.
Weightwise, this guitar is a featherweight, I've played heavier acoustics, I doubt it would take kindly to being dropped. Maybe all archtops are like this (?) but I'd be concerned about it's durability for prolonged live use. All the hardware seems solid, and the finish appears set to last. I don't play live, this guitar is strictly for home use/recording, but as a backup, I'd have to recommend it.

This is the third guitar I've got from Wesley, and each time I've cntacted them, they have been quick to respond.

I already owned two Wesley guitars, (a Conaught electro acoustic and a Freeport) and bought this guitar new thro' Wesleys ebay auctions, the list price being #179, so to get one for #70.88 (#87 inc delivery, insurance) is nothing more than a steal. I was confident of the quality after playing my other Wesley guitars, and I've not been disappointed. I'd buy another in a heartbeat if this one was lost/stolen. If anyone reading this is looking for a top quality big body jazz type guitar at a budget price, and if mine is typical, this guitar is highly recommended.
