having recently purchased a wesley hrb400 guitar,i thought i could give my views, as i couldnt find a review on this guitar before i purchased mine(i took a gamble and bought it anyway,and im glad i did!)
The guitar is made in korea,has a really attractive matched autumn ashwood top with leafhole soundboard,22 fret rosewood fretboard with diamond shape markers.the neck is made from mahogany,with gold diecast machine heads to give it that look of luxury!it was described as having a deep bowl body on wesleys shop on e-bay,which having not seen one in the flesh so to speak,i was concerned it would be physically large,but upon its arrival it was only marginally bigger than my shallow bowl ovvation applause guitar
and is really comfortable to hold.it also has a 4 band artec preamp(presence,treble,mibble and bass)

my music style is a bit of everthing,and i can honestly say that for me it sounds good whatever i play it has a mellow sound but can sound really full and rockey if u go for it!i have to admit i havent used it on an amp yet as i mostly wanted this guitar as an acoustic so i cannot tell u how good the pre amp is.

upon delivery,which by the way was the next day.i noticed that the guitar sent was different to the one i had won on e-bay.The colour was brown not red,and the sound board edging is like a mother of pearl effect instead of the white stripe edging the photo on e-bay had.i didnt bother contacting wesley about this as the guitar looks fantastic(deep gloss finish,exellently matched top) if i had to find fault it would be the small amount off gloss that has found its way onto the bowl off the guitar(and i do mean small)the guitar has a superb playing action and was in perfect tune.

i dont doubt this guitar would stand up to giggin and be long lived but i wont be using mine for such purposes so will never really know.and yes the strap buttons seem very secure

12 month warranty from wesley guitars,as of yet i have had no reason to bother them

i have been playing for five years,i have a tanglewood les paul gibson replica electric guitar(wicked)and a applause ovation with cutaway in see thru blue but this wesley is by far my favourite,i would buy another in a flash should mine be struck by lightning or something equally bizzare.in summary it is good quality and i think exellent value,even at the buy it now price on e-bay but most of all its beutifull and sounds great. hope this helps u decide if your wandering whether to put a bid in in the last five min like i was,take a gamble,unless u have very high expectations u wont be disapointed
