UK made, I think- 22 fret beast- think theyre of a "jumbo" standard... nice shiney wooden finish guitar, looks like an Ibenez. SSH pickup config, unsure on the makes of them, came with a bit of plastic around the pickups had to rip em off, but that was no problem, also came attached with a free set of strings. Great value for the price! (#120 from ebay)
Sound

Sounds nice ass, FAR superior to a Squire Strat. I play punk/rock/ska, no humming, its great! :-) Sounds meanass with multifx pedal (Toneworks AX1500G), great stuffs! Again, amazing value for money!
Action, Fit, & Finish

Bit unsure seeing the wires for the pickups, no jagged edges. Seems like the quality of wood is good enough, very sturdy.
The pickup selector seems sturdy, and the volume knobs seem very stiff, these seem to get in the way sometime when I play :-E Possibly too close to the actual strings :(
The jack for the output is maybe a bit loose, seems very easy for the wire to slip out (with little force)
Reliability/Durability

Not tried playing with it at any gigs yet, but I can imagine the only problem being that output wire can fly outta the jack quite a bit. Guitar seems that it can last, and the finish still has yet to show any problems at all... still feels "new" after a few months.
Obviously always have a backup available at a gig, but I'd be happy with just this guitar- oh yeah :-D

Been playing for approx 5 years now, definately the best guitar I've used, prefered over a Squire Strat / Fender Strat / Gibson- I wouldve gone for an Ibenez, but the Floydrose setup put me off :-(
I wish I'd have given it a play before buying, but seriously, well worth it, I've had a guitar deparment guy from a music shop even agree that its VERY nice to play, action is great, and would have paid #250 at least to buy for the shop.
If this guitar was stolen, I'd still probably just replace it with the same model, its too nice to get rid of!
The guitar is very light, yet seems very sturdy... the only thing that I'm bothered about really is the jack very concealed, so its hard to put the output wire in, and its too easy to be removed :( With the purchase of this guitar, I've left the Squire Strat up on the guitar rack!
Definately worth the cash! If I had this as a present, I'd be severely suprised! .... Forget what that guy said about the low scores, it's totally BS... Give one a play if you see it in your local music outlet! You'll love it!

Bought new. Don't know where it was made. Paid #110.00. Humbucker and two single coils, 22 frets, rosewood board, alder body, transparent laquer finish. One tone, one volume and a selector switch.
Sound

Cannot get a decent sound out of this in any configuration.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Set up was crap. Loads of buzzing. Loads of flaws. Unfinished around the recessed jack point (by unfinished I mean rough, bare wood). Incapable of staying in tune - I only have to look at it and it goes off! Single coils not housed properly, blemishes on the neck, fret finish generally poor. Overall, a bit of a dog, and definately not one of my better buys.
Reliability/Durability
:2
Nothing looks like it would last. Don't gig, which is probably just as well.

Dealings with the company are a complete contrast to the product. Excellent to deal with and keen to rectify any problems.

Overall this was a crap purchase. The only positive thing to say about this guitar is its appearance. It is a looker, but sadly this is not matched by its build quality and sound. If only their quality control matched their service. I own a Hondo Les Paul copy, an Artist metal axe and a Tak electro-acoustic. I only paid thirty odd quid for the Artist, and it blows the Wesley away. If you are seduced by the looks, proceed with caution.

Ibanez style, S-S-S-H config, made in Asia somewhere, 22 fret, laminate top, 5-way slctr, tone and volume control, stock pickups (more on them soon), passive, think alder body and rosewood neck, honey coloured laminated finish, trem (floating), tuners quite nice, fat flat neck. A nicely featured axe.
Sound
:6
Well, with the bridge humbucker and both Singles selected we can get a distorted tone of sorts. On their own, stock pickups are really bad. Singles are muffled, even on clean settings and distorted sound weak and hollow. No bite or sparkle at all. I agree, that clean and slightly crunchy tones (and a wide variety of them too) can be found easily and sound very nice indeed. Good for light blues.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Good action, great looking guitar (and for the price amazing-binding and everything), finish is flawed in a few places and a bit of shoddy factory workmanship shows through but otherwise very happy. Stays in tune, good intonation.

Would gig with it but could see it breaking if you didn't take care.

Great. Wesley is a top man to deal with who tries to make great guitars at low prices.

Been playing 3 years, 3rd guitar and it is useable as an all-rounder. Don't buy if you need a high output metal shredder. Good sounds can be found if you try and if you're willing to keep the SSH setup on permanently. With new pickups could be a gem.

This is a nice strat/ibanez shape guitar with a light varnish finish (no paint, just wood :P). It has a "super strat" pickup arrangement; SSH from neck, 1 tone pot and 1 volume pot, a strat machine head config. headstock, but no way as cheesy :P, a whammy bar, great and some hella nice inlays, they erm are like four diamonds making up a larger diamond, hard to explain. The neck is allegedly "chunky C", which he said was "no wider than a gibson". The jack socket is lodged really far into the body so you have to push the cable quite far in. Erm.... Absolutely gorgeous looking guitar. Danny says it's gorgeous too.
Sound

The sound on this big bad wolf is very timid, the clean is incredible where it sounds funky as hell popping sound and wicka wicka palm muting. It's a really clean sound on clean (strangely enough), but seriously, on clean it's great for jazz/blues and funk and some mellow rock shiznit. The only problem I've found with the entire guitar is the sound from distortion, I rarely use the single coils so I don't know what they sound like really. The distortion sounds a bit muffled, not clean enough, but it still plays well, just doesn't stand out. But I'm thinking of getting a Pearly Gate for it, which would be nice.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The guitar came with the action set very very well and the intonation all set too. The guitar is a hell of a nice one to play, I feel as though there's no strings and I'm playing with air :P It's a hell of a nice feel. The finish is just the natural wood, so you can't expect the paint job to be perfect :P Because they're ain't one. The only coating it's got is the varnish type stuff, probably just laminate or something, I think the headstock's got some weird shti on it that looks ace. The guitar came perfect all in complete working order.
Reliability/Durability

I don't rightly know what the reliability's like, I only got it at Christmas, maybe later I'll update this. I probably wouldn't take it gigging until I've tested it a bit further, and probably changed the pickups, I don't want people laughing at me :). Well, I can say the guitar is a very sturdy piece of kit and could probably take a thrashing. The sound sounds so smooth though I would never want to thrash it, like stroking a kitten.

Well the guitar arrived the day after I ordered it :D Christmas Eve hehe, so Customer Service is hella good. Dunno about Warranty never asked :D

Overall I'd give this bad boy a hell of a good rating, if you're willing to change a pickup, get it. It's one of the best second hand plays I've ever... played. I decided to buy it because of the looks, as you do. I though I'll trust them good lads at Wesley and it put my stakes. When I opened it on Christmas day it was the best thing I'd seen in yonks, 'kin' ace it was, couldn't get over how cool it looked and sounded unplugged. So yeh, if you can afford one of these and a Pearly Gate, then get one, hell of a good bargain and one HELL of a nice guitar.
