Not bad, for the cash..However; the neck is loose/wobbley at connection to body, have tried tightening the screws up (4 screws with washers instead of normal square plate, maybe the problem,) but still not that rigid. To this end, still not got to point where, as previous reviewers have; Looked into replacing the tuners.
Will probably do so when can sort neck out. Great for playing in home studio where space is limited though tuning aspect makes it a chore. Looks good though in a kind of cheesy 80's way....Better off forking out the extra wonga for a Stienberger or Honer if compact is yer bag.

Im 16 and have been playing for just over 10 years now, I only bought this guitar for a small, light practice guitar. Being ??60 i didnt expect much from the sound department but when i pluged it into my 120 watt laney its pretty outstanding!
Plays rock very well and has a very responsive pickup with good sustain.

Harmonics seem to be fine.
Octave on the low E string is slightly off but it can be helped by ajusting the bridge.

I bought this guitar because it was really cheap.
I looked at other wesleys, but was warned by a friend that his Wesley (LP series trans electric) had terrible pick-ups and let him down on stage first time he gigged it, so I avoided the models that looked like they shared similar components.
The minimal features on the Jasper - a humbucker and a volume knob, meant there was less to go wrong and fiddle with, which appealed to me as I often catch the switches on guitars while I'm strumming.
And you've got to call the way it looks a 'feature'.

This guitar made me work hard to get it sounding how I would like. To be fair though I am DI'd into a PA. It sounds very harsh thru my distortion pedal (marshall Jackhammer) and compared to my other guitar (Danelectro D60? or something) can sound pretty crappy. I don't (yet) like the way the Jasper sounds with it's volume turned up full - feels overloaded but not in a good way.
With the guitar volume turned down a bit I managed to get an [erm] ok clean sound through the cabinet sim on my RFX-1000.
To be fair, for the price it should sound like a total plank and it doesn't.

A few fret buzzes, and if I'm honest I'm not entirely sure the frets are distributed correctly. The harmonics are in at the 12th fret which makes the intonation seem ok, but the E on the seventh fret of the A string is not a perfect octave of the Bottom E.
bit worrying that.
The design of the guitar makes it's weighting balance quite neck heavy.
The finish is good and free from flaws.

I'm clumsy and drop my guitars all the time so will soon see. Looks pretty sturdy to me though.
It's possible that the jack socket is a bit twitchy but that could have been my lead.

I bought the Jasper as a second guitar to play at gigs on songs which use alternate tunings. I was hoping this guitar would be a bargain, but in actual fact I got what I paid for - A cheap instrument.
I have owned the guitar a day and am already bored of it. It doesn't inspire me to play as I have to fight with it - fight to get a good sound, fight to stay in tune, fight the neck-heavy balance. It's tiring. But for fifty quid all in, what did I expect?

A single humbucking pick up guitar probably made in China With just A volume control, A perspex body Maple neck & rosewood fretboarard with 22 frets and probably the worst tuners I have ever used. The bridge is A top loading Tele style and it is purple.

I have only played it through A thinamp and it has pruduced some greatBuy one of bluesy rocky tones, though if you are looking for subtlety this is not the guitar for you but saying that it suits my playing down to the ground. Can't wait to try it through A marshall stack.

The action was 1/16" At the 12th fret which suits me perfectly but the 6th fret was slightly high this caused some buzzing on the 5th &6th strings and will need some attention.

I'm surprised by the other reviews, it sounds thin through a boogie .22 - and I generally play a strat

Pretty good - very for the price. However, my big gripe is how difficult it is to play. I got it to play in my lodgings while working away from home. I hadn't really thought through how to play it sitting down, given it's very narrow body which you can't sit on your leg in the normal way; my fault I guess. However, it is also neck-heavy and tends to swing that way when using a strap, without some pressure in the opposite direction while you play. Not very comfortable, I'm afraid, at least for me

Bought about 2-3 months ago so guess it was made manufactured 2004/5. Its an asian import but not sure where from. Has a clear transparent Acrylic body which is small and rectangular. Single passive Humbucker pickup and volume control. I think the neck is maple with rosewood fretboard. Also comes with 2 allen keys for adusing neck & bridge saddles.
Sound

As indicated above is a single passive humbucker and Volume control ( no tone). Dont let that put you off. This thing realy kicks a*&. If rock is your thing then this wont disapoint. I dont know if it is the pickup the acrylic body or BOTH!! but this has a hotter meatier sound them my Parker P40 and sustians well. By rolling off the top on the volume it eases back into a cleaner sound.

Over all the guitar was well setup with the harmonics spot on. The only gripe is that the 11th fret seems a little high under the B string causing a little bit of buzz. Bending into it from the G or E strings has the same affect. Raising the saddles didnt fix it either so the fret needs dressing a little to bring it down. The machine heads are a bit cheap and naff and dont stay in tune very well. I found I would have to retune frequently specialy on the highr strings. Acion is low and very playable and overall the guitar has a nice weight and feel to it. Neck is a bit chunkier then I would like but at this price I'm not complainig. Loses point because of the fret problem and machine heads

I've been playing on and off for about 30 years and own severel other guitars - Fender Strat Japanese 63 reissue, Parker P40, Peavy Grind 5 String Bass, Yamaha APX5-12A, Gulid F4. If it were lost or stolen I probably wouldnt replace it as I bought it as a potential travel guitar and there are probably better options out there. I love the sound and playabilty of this instrument but am put off but the tuning stability (or lack of). Overall for #46 this is an outstanding guitar. Yes there are shortcomings but nothing that cant be easily resolved.

Made 2005 in England. Fullscale 24 fret guitar.
Blue perspex steinberger-type body with full length neck and tiny headstock.
Single passive humbucker and volume control. No trem or tone control.
Body is transparent blue perspex around 3 inches wider & longer than the bolt on neck !
Tele style bridge, six adjustable tailpieces.
Fat frets, rosewood fretboard over maple. Pearl tuners.

Its a total rock monster ! Ringing sustain, fat crunching chords and shrieking harmonics possible. Rolling off the volume cleans up the tone beautifully. A trem would really set it off, but its great anyway !
Great approximation of EVHs 'brown sound' possible through my Fender M80 combo.
Nice , thinnish clean sound too.

Bridge saddles needed tiny adjustment to get harmonic tuning accurate , but nothing major.
Action is low and very very VERY fast. No buzzes , lovely true action. Has 9's fitted as standard.
Finish looks beautiful. No scuffs or clumsy routing. Neck is lovely and smooth, plexiglass body is gem like in its finishing.
Everything works as well as my old Les paul or my Washburn. Amazing for such a cheap machine. No idea how they do it at the price.

Haven't gigged it yet but see no reason why it shouldn't stand up to live use. Electrics are very clean, no buzzing etc. And theres not really anything else to go wrong !
Finish seems great and everything is sturdy.
The only reason I wouldn't gig without a backup is Its not a guitar for subtlety !

I've been playing 25 years.
I own a '78 kalamazoo Les Paul standard, a Washburn KC40-V, an Aria pro2 ZZ deluxe and a yamaha FG420-a. I gig them all except the Aria.
This guitar exceeds my every expectation !
I love the SPUNK of this little axe ! It BEGS to rock out ! And its light weight and great balance.
I only bought it as a cheap home plank for my kids to learn on but it HUGELY exceeds that role ! Its a genuinely great rock and roll axe worth five times the price in my long experience !
The kids adore it by the way !
