Les Paul shape, blue transparent body.
22 fret rosewood fingerboard.
Gold effect pickups, machine heads & pots.
I have to give it high marks here for aesthetics. The body looks great, especially with the gold trimmings.

The sound is actually quite good for the money. I replaced the bridge pickup with a popular Seymour Duncan and immediately missed the warmth & grittiness of the old & cheap pickup on the guitar.
Sustain isn't great, partly because of the action.

I have to give minimum marks here. Buzzing all over the fret board. There's even one fret on the first string which didn't play at all.

I've had this guitar a while now, but it has not been abused or played extensively. The pickup selector jumps out of bridge position quite easily and is quite noisy. The jack is a bit noisy. And surprise surprise, the pots are a bit noisy too - though maybe that's due to oxidization caused by underuse.
On the small plus side, it feels very solid, but then it is verty heavy.

No opinion, I wish I'd noticed the worst part of the fretboard earlier and would have contacted the seller.

Overall I have to say I got what I paid for. I thought it was an absolute bargain, it turned out to be worth the price. The guitar looks fantastic. It's a shame the fretwork is so awful, because the guitar has a beautiful weight and the sound isn't bad for the price. My advice is buy it if you want the looks. But don't expect a beautifully made guitar for a fraction of the cost.

Bought two,Brand New, Cardinal Burst & Peacock Burst. Both have Kluson Machine Heads, so both stay in tune. Both are solid Mahogony, thru neck. I've fitted them with Custom Shop pickups, standard pickups were excellent though. Both sound exactly like a Les Paul.
I play Modern rock, both are great for that. Both are far better than my top of the range Epiphones, which I've now sold!

Sound just like the real thing, build standard & quality far better than Epiphone. Great for punk, modern & classic rock.

I use these guitars alot for session, recording & gigs, they still look newish, no problems at all. The added benefit is I don't worry about them getting nicked!

Been playing years, save your money don't by an Epiphone, don't kill yourself for a Gibson. Shop around there are loads of solide Mahogony Les Pauls on the net that are as good.

I didn't even bother plugging this guitar in to hear how it sounds. The guitar itself was bloody awful, before I even put a lead in it.

Here, we get to my main points about this guitar. For a start, the action was so high I would have needed a vice to hold a string to the fret board. I then realised why this was so. Upon lowering the action to a reasonable height (but still higher than I prefer) there was fret buzz all over the place. Also, the intonation was way out and the scratchplate had more marks on it than my 12 year old Strat !
This guitar looked, and felt, like it had been built by a 5 year old, and I couldn't wait to return it.
(Don't even get me started about the pickups)

I couldn't sat whether this guitar would stand up to being played live. Personally, I doubt if it could stand up to being played in a bedroom. One things for sure ... I won't be testing that theory.

I must admit, that the customer support was first class. I sent them an email saying I was unhappy, and they refunded me the full amount, and arranged to have it collected. You can't ask for more than that.

I've been playing for around 15 years, and have played a wide range of guitars, including a lot of budget ones. The reason I wanted a fairly cheap one this time was for my son.
If it was stolen I would feel sorry for the burglar, having to carry around something that he wouldn't get ?20 for.
I think Mr Wesley really should take a long, hard look at the products he is shipping to customers. Cosmetically, they are really nice guitars but (in my case) the actual product was flawed and virtually unplayable.
I have since bought a Strat copy from a company called Shine, and THIS is what I'd call a superb 'bank for buck' guitar, and it cost me ?50 less !
If Wesley could produce the same quality in their guitars, they would be on to a winner, but I'm afraid, in my opinion, at the moment they are far from it.
PS - I do NOT work for Shine !!

This guitar sounds better than expected for a budget guitar. The pickups are pretty good too. I play blues and jazz mainly. Used with a Kustom amp or Marshall MG15DFX it sounds pretty good. Sustain is good too. There was some rattle which was down to the saddle screws vibrating so I adjusted these. The nut slots were also a bit tight so I widened these (the D string would twang from just below a perfect D to just above a perfect D as the string winding slipped as I adjusted the tuning).
The action needed raising as the strings were buzzing.

The guitar was fairly well set up (see above). Still not sure if the wood finish is real but it looks it. The finish, head, tuners, pickups are pretty good. Certainly an attractive guitar and the body is finished to a high standard.
The 6 bridge saddles are a bit wobbly and the pot knobs are so high off the surface that you can easily see the nuts underneath.
What I most dislike about this guitar however is the plastic bits (switch knob, rhythm/treble ring, pickup mounts, pickguard). These are a horrible flesh colour and not cream at all. I have changed these because I can't stand the colour!
Having said all this, these things are easily put right and I now have a guitar that plays well and sounds pretty good too - all for about #120!

I really can't comment on the reliability as I have only had it a few months and am just a bedroom played. It is hard to tell just how solid the construction is under the finish. There is a 1 yr guarantee and John Wesley, I am sure, would honour that as he seems a very genuine guy.

One of the pup mounts was cracked on arrival (screw overtightened presumably). I emailed JW and he sent another straight away. 1 Yr warranty.

I have been playing for about 30 minutes (tonight) and about 35 yrs before that! However only in last year or so have I been bitten by the electric guitar bug. I bought this guitar as one to experiment with (e.g. change pickups, wiring, do fret work, etc.) before I start to mangle my more expensive guitars. However, the neck really needed no work at all.
Compared to other guitars, this is definitely at the budget end and if it wasn't for the cheap plastic bits, it would have been very impressive.
I have two Corts (G260 and MGM), a Washburn WI66, a Squier and a few acoustics. This guitar is not as good as the MGM or Washburn, but is on a par with the G260 or Squier (apart from the plastic bits!). The pickups are suprisingly good and are worth #60 alone!
