Budget Jaguar shape guitar with a Strat 5-way single coil set up. 25.5 scale, Strat tremolo, kluson style tuners, finish like candy apple red (CAR), scratchplate cream pearloid 2 x ply with black underside.
Vintage style frets, not sure of the wood used- possibly basswood with a maple neck and rosewood fretboard.
Far eastern build i presume, came with a decent quality gig bag, plectrums, 2 x straps and a lead.

I play most styles of music, but im a keen offset guitar user so i bought this with bands like Dino Jr, MBV, Sonic Youth, Placebo, Nirvana.. in mind.
I use a Marshall JCM 2000, various effects like Big Muff, Tubescreamer, Ibanez FL9, Boss DD-6, etc.

First off i tried it straight into the amp on a slightly crunchy setting. i find this is a good starting point with a new guitar, it lets the tone shine through and you soon get to know how good the quality of the guitar is.
To be fair i was'nt expecting much, but it sounds decent. All five settings offer decent tones and the tone pot itself is effective as is the volume. The sounds are of reasonable Strat quality. Its bright but you can tweak things with your amp and the tone pot. Great for blues and funk, indie/alternative- some people may want to thicken the sound up with a RAT or Big Muff.
Through an FX processor Korg AX1000 it performed well again, low noise even on Heavy Metal settings. It really shines on clean settings with delay and chorus, excellent for 'shoegaze'.
For what it cost and what it is i cannot complain in this department.

Just to point out, i recently made my own Fender Jag-Stang and have built several parts guitars over the years so i will be sincere here about qaulity.
The guitar came set up well, intonated perfectly with a low action. No issues here.
the finish is excellent and the matching headstock is a really nice touch like the original CAR Fender Jag, the cream scratchplate compliments the CAR well.
The maple neck is dark and glossy, like an old Fender. The fretboard is okay but i will give it some lemon oil as standard.
The nut is well cut but a little untidy and all the hardware seems solid. The trem is the usual basic Strat trem, most trems of this design need a lot of TLC and attention to detail to work efficiently, this is no different.

my only complaint with this purchase is on some sharp ends on the frets that i had to file.

But again, at this price plus the extras i dont know how these guys make any profit. From building a guitar myself i know the costs.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
I've been gigging a long time and will take this guitar on the road, no worries. What can go wrong? Its a basic set up and it stays in tune.

Always take a back up!

They seem friendly and helpfull from my brief experience.

Been playing 20 years. I bought this because i collect Jaguars, Mustangs, Jag-Stangs, etc. I love the shape, i own vintage and reissues.
I fancied something cheap to modify and was'nt expecting much here to be honest, at best i thought i'd be fitting a decent Squier neck onto it and i also intended to fit Lipstick pickups for a nice change. But there really is'nt any need here.
Its got some great features like the matching headstock and colour scheme, its sonically in familiar territory as well.
The thing i love about this besides its shape is the fact you could buy a handfull of them without any stress. No nursing the 64' Jaguar here. The thought is quite liberating.
Fair enough, they are ultimately a budget guitar and it may not posses the tone of antiquity pickups but it is very reasonable quality. It is excellent for entry level or intermediate players, and with a few tweaks or mods it will suit some gigging musicians.

There are several cheap brands of Jaguar/Jazzmaster-alike guitars on ebay at the moment and based on this experience i advise Offset users to give them a try, these are fun guitars at a great price with surprisingly good qaulity.

It???s shape is very similar to a fender Jaguar. Lovely metallic red finish with a cream pickguard. The finish on this guitar is superb really excellent can???t fault it. It???s got nice Klugson style machine heads which stay in tune very well. Came wiht lead, gig bag, strap and free plectrums. The pick-up configuration is the same as a strat with three single coils and a selector swithch. It features one volum and one tone control.

Sound : 10
I play mainly indie and soft rock sort of music this guitar suits that very well. My other guitar is a PRS Se Custom and although the sound isn???t quite up to that standard it isn???t far off very impressive for an ??80 guitar. I am using with a peavy bandit 112 transtube amp with Boss DS-1 Crybaby, Line 6 Chorus and tunrer pedal.

The action was very good out of the box no fret buzz. The finish was excellent can???t fault it.

This is a very solidly built guitar. It could be gigged no problem and used without a back-up. Strap buttons seem solid enough.

It comes with a year long warranty. Haven't had to deal with the company.

Made 2007-ish I guess.

This is quite a unique guitar in that it is Fender Jazzmaster/Jaguar shaped (off-set body), but has strat pick-up layout and 5-way switching arrangement.

The only main difference is that the selector switch is located on the lower bout, something which I personally dont like. Apart from that small quibble I love this guitar.

It is very well finished all over, certainly to Fender Mexico standards (and maybe even US), and has a beautiful metallic red colour to the body.

The neck is laquered in the old 50's style.

Tuners are kluson copied which work very well with no slip or slack.

I play for myself nowdays, and am really into a kind of SRV blues meets twangy/jazzy western swing rock...if there is such a thing!

The tones available are equal to the best strats Ive played, and are perfect for my requirements.

The pick-ups really have that strong "honky" thing going on, and sound as good as ANY Ive heard.

They are a little hissy at certain times depending on where you are standing in relation to the amp/room lighting etc, but no more than any other similar guitar, and certainly no differently to any Fender.

Very well finished all over.

Certainly as good as a guitar costing 5 times as much.

Everything fits well, set up was great, and the trem is particularly nice to use, something which cannot be said of many strat-type guitars.

Ive tried hard to find some fault, but I honestly cannot!

Reliability/Durability : 10
Everthing seems bullet proof to me.

Its built like a tank.

Ive used it loads of times to jam and its never let me down.

Never dealt with the company, but Ive heard good things about them.

I bought my first Fender Tele in 1972! YES!...I'm THAT old!

I only bought this guitar on a whim out of curiosity as it was a funky shape and looked so cool, and I have to say that I am blown away by the quality of it.

Fender really are in trouble if the Chinese can make a guitar like this for around ??90.

I have had literally HUNDREDS of guitars pass through my hands in the last 36 years, and I can honestly say, hand on heart, that this is one of my favourites.

When I got it (just second-hand...bored teenager got rid etc...) it had hardly had any use, but had been set up nicely, I presume by the Wesley company before going out.

THIS makes a big difference.

Reading the reviews on Harmony to be honest I only take notice of the ones by experienced players because too many kids get a guitar and are not able to set it up correctly, and then slate it.

The fact that these guitars are set up before shipment makes all the difference.

I cannot recommend the Wesley San Diego highly enough.

It's simply a brilliant guitar for the money...

or for five times the money.
