I own a 1979 Westbury Sg replica, made in the USA. Body and neck are mahogany one piece. I replace the tuning pegs with Grovers, stays in tune forver.
Two humbucker pick-ups, stop tail piece. The Finish for a thirty year old guitar is great, considering it was my only guitar for 15 years.
I was impress when I purchase and still am.
It has 2 volume, 2 tone, 5 switch selector. Hard Shell Case

I have a westbury sg delux for 20 yrs its made out of walnut it was there top of the line guitar. it was put out by the Korg co. in the mid 1970s the same company that was the exclusive importer of Marshall products .the company is based in Long Island N.Y. the name westbury came from the town the guitar was built in Westbury N.Y. sound wise its the best screamin guitar I have ever owned & I had les pauls & sgs this one puts them all to shame .it doesnt have the versitillity of say a strat which I have 2. but its great for a great solo or power chords

I am not sure what year, or where it was made, or even the model. I acquired it from a friend for the large sum of $60. (He knew very little about the guitar) It is probably a foreign guitar. It looks kinda like a Gibson SG. It has an H/H configuration, 2 volume and 2 tuning knobs, and a 3-way selector switch. and a tune-o-matic bridge, and the neck has 22 frets. The neck and body are one piece, and it has a black finish. The humbuckers are cream colored, and the plate over the trus-rod says "Standard". It is a heavy guitar, I am not sure what type of wood it was made of, but is is a hard wood. I think that it is a great guitar for the price that I paid for it. If you know anything about this guitar, please e-mail me.

I have been playing for a year, and I have a squire strat, and this guitar. I prefer the strat but I enjoy playing this guitar just as much. I find that this guitar is good when I want to get away from playing the bright sound of my strat. It has a relatively good range, and I find it to be an easily playable guitar with good sound. I believe I need to adjust the trus-rod because I have been getting a buzz on the 3'rd fret of the b string, and no amount of adjustment on the bridge has helped.

When I bought the guitar from my friend, the action was terrible. I fixed that and that was about all that I have had a problem with. It does have a problem with staying in tune, but not to bad. The tuning knob for the d string has been replaced, and it doesn't match the rest of the knobs, but what do you expect for $60? It has a few dings and scratches and paint chips, but that was expected. All in all it is a good guitar, and I would like to learn more about it.

It is a very durable guitar, I am sure it could, and probably already has, survived a few falls. I probably wouldn't play a gig with this guitar as my primary guitar, but I would use it as a backup. It is a sturdy guitar.

I wouldn't know how to contact the company that made this guitar, I don't even know if they still exist.

I have been playing for a year, and I find this guitar a pleasure to play. If this guitar was stolen or lost I would probably be upset, it was a good deal, and I don't know where I could get another one like it. I would really like to get some info on this guitar, so if anyone knows anything about it, please e-mail me.
