Mine has 2 single coils and a humbucker . Floating trem . Gotoh tuners and is light blue with black binding . 24 fret solid body , strat style . Noy sure what it's made of , reviews are scarce and misleading . It also has three toggles , two tone and one volume knob .

I play all styles of music , from metal to very clean . This guitar sounds horrible . I have had 30 guitars and still own 12 , this is the worste sounding of all . Very dull and lifeless , no harmonics at all . You would never get rid of any high end guitars for this one , as reviewed by others , NO WAY ! I have Gibsons , Fenders , Parkers , Jacksons , etc. , all high end stuff , even a couple Ibanez's . I have two Mesa Boogies , a 50 cal plus , a dual recto tremoverb , Marshall JCM 800 2203 super lead ,Marshall Valvestate , Fender Roc Pro 1000 , and this guitar sounds terrible through all of them .

I've been playing for 15 years and have had lots of great gear . This guitar is made well and plays great it just sounds horrible plugged in , HORRIBLE . I wish it had decent pickups . If i can't bring it to life with new pickups , it will go down the road . I bought this because of the great reviews and it's cool looks and playability , unfortunately i never plugged it into an amp , if i did i never would have bought it .

Westone Corsair Classic:
Well, I have had em all 60s Strats, Les Pauls PRS the lot and while most; I say most, of them are great Guitars none compare to the Westone Corsair in terms of overall quality, sound, playability and finish.
I only paid #285 for what is a truly killer instrument, I play it through a Mesa Boogie Combo and everywhere I go people come up and say "what is that guitar?"
I had several PRS but sold them off and saved the money, what do I need them for? to stare at?
I have aquired a 2nd Westone Corsair and had Kinman Woodstock+ Pick Ups put in it by Joe White at Ash, near Aldershot.
I defy anyone, anywhere to come up with a better guitar than this, it is simply awesome, (hate that expression) anys sounds you want are there and so easy too.
I am keeping both of mine!
Regards, Phil

As far as I know, this was made in the UK. There isn't a great deal of information on this beautiful guitar, but I found a website with a little info.
http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Lights/6961/westone/newwes.htm
It's a 22 fret job, with FULL access. The body has been designed to allow you to get to whatever fret you want, with no obstacles. Which makes a nice change.
You have a 5 way pickup selector for the 3 pickups, which are arranged in a Single/Single/Humbucker config. The pickups are apparently made by Gotoh. There's a wonderful noise cancelling feature if you select two pickups.
It's coloured in a very nice Satin varnished wood. There is a "Custom" model, which is exactly the same, but with a Sunburst finish.
The bridge is similar to ones that I've seen on Strats. It's a standard tremelo. I have no issues with it whatsoever.
The neck's about standard width, but it's pretty thick. It doesn't seem to impair your playing ability, suprisingly. Myself, and many other people have remarked how easy to play this guitar is over many others, including the Ibanez ones with the very thin necks, and my brothers lovely Jaguar.
My guitar shipped in a lovely gig bag. It's very, very good, and I use it with all my electric guitars, if I'm carrying them by themselves. It also came with a small alan key for adjustment. (I should note that while the site I listed above said that it comes with a right angle jack, I wasn't supplied with one)
I'm giving it an 8 because while it's a very well featured guitar, and certainly one of the best, it doesn't have much particuarly unique to set it above most guitars, apart from the noice cancelling feature, which is especially good.

I play a lot of indie/alternative/rock stuff, although I do mix in some jazz and metal every now and again. I use a lot of finger picking, and a fair bit of pick work too. I definitely play more lead stuff than rhythm. This guitar easily suits every purpose I can throw at it. I'm using it on a Marshall AVT 275, although I've tried it on other amps too. It just sounds lovely, no matter what I throw it at. I like the clean sound a lot, but with aany amount of distortion it's lovely.
It's a very rich, full sound. I think it may be slightly more suited to rhythm playing than lead, but that just depends on how you have the sound balanced. It's certainly a more rounded sound than my brother's Jaguar.
The single pickups can make a little noise when you're playing with distortion, and they're selected solo, but it's been wired wonderfully. If you select the two single pickups, or the middle single and the rear humbucker together, then they cancel each others noise, so it becomes silent. Basically, this means that the more noisy guitarist has more options than just sitting it on the humbucker to cancel out the buzz. EXCELLENT.
I like it a lot. I honestly wouldn't change a thing about the sound.

The action, as shipped, is fairly low. It's very, very nice to play. If you get a factory set-up, (and you like a fairly low action) then you'll be happy. It's expertly done.
It feels lovely to play. Probably the nicest feel of any guitar I've used, including my friend's #1100(?roughly) Strat, which is generally the benchmark I compare guitars to. Everything you play seems to sound right, and no matter where you put your fingers, they just feel like they were meant to be there. Make no mistake, this is a lovely guitar to play.
The bodywork's very nice. It arrived from the retailer as clean as a whistle. All parts feel very nice. It keeps it's tuning for a longer amount of time than most guitars I've used, even though it has a tremelo bridge.
10/10
Perfect.

I have one problem with this guitar, but it IS my fault so it seems partially unfair to bring it into a review. But, then again, it could happen to other people. My pickup selector has gone a bit dodgy, and it requires very precise adjustment to select the required pickups. Furthermore, it's very sensitive when in place. It was suprising that this happened, as it seemed very robust when I first got the guitar (2 years ago.) If it was 100%, it would easily withstand a long live set. Infact, I 've had very, very long sessions on this guitar. It stays in tune very well.
All the hardware seems as firm and reliable as it's possible to be.
The finish has stayed perfect, even with quite a few knocks. Stickers seem to stay on pretty well.
The strap buttons are solid. I have no qualms about thrashing about pretty hard, if I'm in the mood.
I would happily depend on this guitar. It'd be my primary guitar for almost every occasion, unless I needed a particuarly sharp sound.
I'd probably still keep a backup in a gig, but that's only due to my own paranoid nature. This is one guitar that I could probably play without a backup, and still feel fairly secure.

Well, this is one area where you're not going to get a great amount of feedback.
Basically, I can't find any way to contact the company.
They have no website, or contact details anywhere. I don't know how to deal with this company. If I need to get it repaired, (which I do) I'm just going to have to take it to a general guitar store, which does make me a little uneasy that they'll screw something up.

I've been playing for about 6 years. I own a cheap Fender/Squier piece of crap, and a Yahama Pacifica, which is pretty shoddy, too. I also have access to a beautiful Fender Jaguar (in my house) and an even more beautiful #1100(I think) Strat. The Westone is my primary guitar, and I'm happy to have it that way. I'd choose it over any of the other guitars that I play.
If it were stolen, or I managed to lose it, I'd be devastated. It's a wonderful guitar, and I've grown very attached to it.
I love it's gorgeous sound, and the ease with which I can play anything. The wonderful build quality, and general good feeling I get from this guitar would be sorely missed. I don't think I'd sell it for anything, although I'd be hard pressed to pick between this and my acoustic. I still think I'd pick this over virtually any guitar that I've tried.
When I was shopping for guitars, I was going to buy a Gibson, almost primarily for it's gorgeous finish. It had nice action, but the sound wasn't quite full enough. When I found this one, I knew immediately that I had to have it. With a Fender or Gibson, I find that you seem to pay quite a bit of money for the brand name, which isn't really necessary, as you can have a great guitar from a lesser known company for a very, very nice price.
As far as value goes, I'd put it up at 10, for the sound and playability. It eclipses everything else I've heard and played.
My email's included.
