This was my 1st electric. 1965 21 fret double cutaway with 2 passive single coils and a rocker switch. Cheap exposed gear tuners and metal polished pickguard. Slightly copied after a Fender strat. Got it with no case. I later made one for it. 2 control knobs/vol-tone
Sound

I play 60s rock and it does a good job of that. I play it through a gibson amp or a Fender deluxe. I use a phase 90 or a wah wah with it occasionally. It is a little noisy when out of phase. I like the light weight.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Guitar plays good and allows easy access to the top frets. Pickups are even and smooth. I found very few flaws it. The finish is bright red and neck is natural wood. Pickguard is metal and looks like a mirror.
Reliability/Durability

I have used it live and in studios for 30 years and it holds up well. Hardware is plastic and slightly cracked. Finish is somewhat worn.
Customer Support
:
No Opinion
Western Auto is where this came from and I don't think they offered customer support on their electric guitars.

I've been playing since 1963 and have recorded many songs in studios. This was my first electric and I will keep it until I die. I have a Rickenbacker, a Stratocaster, a Carvin and 2 Martin acoustics.
