I have three sets of these (so far), two are Gotoh/Schaller style and the other is vintage Kluson style. They are very conventional to install and to use. The feature that sets them apart is that the shaft has not one, but two sets of holes for the string. The holes are set at 90 degrees to one another. When re-stringing, you pull the string through one hole, bend it and wrap it around the shaft and pull it back through the other hole. Then, just bring the string up to pitch. It is very fast!

The guitar stays in tune! I use the tremolo pretty hard, and I was simply amazed that something so simple was so effective. I rarely have to retune - even after transporting and taking out of the case. They just stay in tune. I have tried everything in the past and had resigned myself to using Kahler equipped guitars for tremolo songs, and blocking my vintage Strats. Now, I am replacing all of the tuners with EZ LOCs! They look like normal tuners in all respects except the extra hole, and so far they have been drop in replacements. I have been paying ~$20 + shipping (~$4).

All of the sets that I have purchased have been first rate. The gears work smoothly and hold. They all have quality finishes.

It is still too early to tell, but based on their simplicity, I suspect that they will outlast me

These are the just unbelievable. I am still amazed that after a vigorous tremolo passage I don't have to adjust my tuning, even after divebombing the strings!
