I have the "handcrafted" LSX6 model (acoustic electric with piezo pickup). Solid spruce top, rosewood laminated sides and back (although if you look at it from inside the sound hole, the base wood looks to be very high quality), ebony fingerboard, full binding on fretboard, body.

Full mellow sound. Reasonably loud, but the factory-set action is just a tad high, so this probably contributes to the volume. To my ears, this guitar sounds notably better than solid wood Washburn I tried (WD54SW) and an older, less expensive Yamaha (FG-312) I own. Don't know how it compares to high end models, but for its price range, I would say it is very good.

Action just a tad high, but otherwise very playable. Fret buzz is minimal. Overall, excellent craftsmanship and very nice looking guitar, only the very slightest chip on bridge opening in the saddle makes it less than absolute perfect. The chip has no mechanical bearing on the bridge and must be stared at to even notice it, so I think I may be being a bit overcritical here. I mark the guitar down a notch for the factory-set action, no doubt it can be adjusted.

It feels very solid and holds its tune. I suspect it will last fine.

I've owned/played many guitars for about twenty years. For the money, this is a great acoustic guitar. It definitely gives one "hand-crafted" feel for well less than a $1000.

Handcrafted made in Taiwan 2004 model I purchased new. It has 20 frets and brass tuning knobs. This model is a full sized dreadnought without a cutaway. No electronics. The top and back are solid spruce and the sides are laminate.
The color is natural and has a glossy finish. The bridge has a larger mass for a bigger sound.
The neck is fat and slightly V shaped. It has a three peice neck design and non scalloped bracing. This guitar came with a hardfoam case that is really nice.
The pickguard is the only drawback and seems to scratch easily.

Big Full Sound. The tone is thick and well focused. Well balanced Lows and Highs. I use this guitar for traditional northern new mexico latino style music in addition to blues and country. The sound of this guitar rivals Gibson and Martin acoustics.

When I bought it the guy gave it new strings and he oiled the fretboard. THERE WAS NO SETUP REQUIRED!! There are no finish flaws.

I have been used to playing laminated top acoustic guitars all of my life so this solid top guitar seems somewhat delicate to me.
I use it without a backup for 8am Spanish mass every sunday.

I have been playing 20+ years and also own a Fender Gemini 1 acoustic. I am primarilay an electric player these days and own a USA Strat and a Heritage 535 with a variety of amps.
I bought a Yamaha because I have always been impressed with the quality of their upper end acoustics. I would buy another Yamaha again it it were lost or stolen.
I shopped for 6 months before spending my hard earned money on this guitar. No regrets at all.
