The guitar makes lots of noise at high gain settings, particularly the humbucker. I use it with a peavy Bandit. It has a nice bright sound. It is not great for metal,

The set up was good as far as I can remember. The finish is a nice translucent black, and the wood used seems high quality. However the volume,tone and pickup selector make a lot of noise. The gold hardware seems to oxidize or something over time.

I played guitar for 5 years,I would recommend the cheaper pacifica 112, after a few months the classy gold hardware seems to loose its appeal, its not worth the extra $120.
