What 'till you get a load of this...A real Solid back and sides Brazilian Rosewood YAmaki. ever heard of one ? Neither had I until I stunmbled on to it. I couldn't believe my luck, the back has a 12 inch crack and once I had some experts confirm mt suspicion I was delighted about the crack, it proved that I had found a diamond in the rough, a Solid Brazilain Rosewood old growth deep chocolate broen Yamaki, made to replicate a D45 to a T. Abalone, YAMAKI inlaid insignia vertical down headstock and simply the best deepest bass sounding Yamaki I have ever owned and I have owned over a dozen.

Recording with this one makes you think you're holding a Collings Clarence White, it booms bass and yet has the mids covered easily. Doesn't over power the mike and has string separation which a recording studio geek would die for.

Awesome typical Yamaki neck with diamond on back at headstock join a la Martin, Patent Pending Grover tuners and a s beautifully grained back and sides, very dark.

Apart from the back crack the top has been over spliced repaired which may attribute the fine recording capability of not over blowing the mike on strumming. It is a real pity this one doesn't have a spruce top as I believe Spruce is a better sounding top for my sound than cedar. However, given that it has such beautiful real abalone inlay, I hesitate to replace it with an Adirondack Spruce top but, if I did, this guitar would be less a collector's item but would become the real killer sound guitar only aged Brazilian Rosewood can provide. This one is a keeper for me, bury me with this one kids

Can't say enough about this one, if you get one ever, try playing through a mike with some chorus and reverb and then ask yourself if you want to bother ever chasing for Martins anymore. The fact that it is solid Brazilain Rosewood old growth, means it is worth a over a grand and is going to be worth more with each passing decade.
