I inherited this guitar from my father back in 1983. I'm not sure how long he had it before that. I'm not totally sure about serial number. It could be AY331W. The uniqueness of this particular model lies in the headstock. Kinda looks like a female train car coupler.(If that's what they're called). I've only ever seen one other like it. The funny thing is that the girl who owned it lived just down the street from me.

Sound : 10
Like any other review for a Yamaki mine does not disappoint. I've been running an open stage for 12 or so years and have let hundreds of people play it. They've bled on it, sweated on it, banged into things with it, spilled drinks on it and even dropped it and it still sounds sweet. I get fret jobs and set-ups once a year and the bugger keeps on lovin' life.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I don't know much about the science of my guitar or what exactly it's made of (don't care) as long as it keeps playing like the first day I got it.

Reliability/Durability : 10

Customer Support : No Opinion
Unfortunatly the electronics I put in 10 years ago finally crapped out and Fishman doesn't make that particular model of preamp anymore so now I have two holes where the volume and tone knobs were. Still trying to find a guy to fix the preamp before I fill in the holes.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing professionally now for 20 years and in that time only 1 person has seen my guitar and recognised it as a Yamaki. (he saw the headstock from across the bar) Everyone else is like, "What the hell is that?" If anyone out there knows where I can find info on my model email me. I've looked everywhere and cannot find the model or even a picture.
