I just came back from Taiwan and bought my acoustic Yamaki Y 6600 wich is an exact copy of a very expensive Ovation. I bought it brandnew in a very dangerous area in the city where tourist usually do not enter but my guide and my girlfriend were with me .It cost me only 150 US dollar and I fell like heaven with this guitar.
I am planning to go back to Taiwan only to buy other models of this brand because they are very cheap. The sound is wonderfull and it has the same round back like those expensive Ovation.( it is just an exact copy of the top-Ovations).
This guitar is brand new, and I wonder why this company does not make any advertising for their products.(maybe because of the copies they only sell them in Asia).
The only minor is that the neck is a bit slimmer than other brands but after a while You get used to it.
Sound

The sound is clear and it is not easy to catagorize it, because jazz chords sounds very good on it. Deep bass and cristal clear highs. Great for all kind of music. (unbelieveble!!!!!!)
Action, Fit, & Finish

I have it now for 1 month and I think that only the fretwires are of poor quality. I will buy some new strings because the standard ones are getting rusty.

Good for live-playing but not for lots of playing. Must have a back up.

Nobody knows where the company is , but I thonk it is now in Singapore. 1 year I think.

I also have a Epiphone jazz guitar. I love the Yamaki because it is an exact copy of the expensive Ovations. Next time I will be going for only 1 week just to buy 2 more Yamakis.
