Check out the Zager website for better details. But I think my guitar is beautiful.

Sound : 10
I play christian music and I like the bright sound that it brings to the songs I play.

Mr. Zager has a God given talent and uses it well. He did a great job putting my guitar together. Thanks Mr. Zager.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I used this guitar at a jam session with other players who have been playing for over 30 years and they thought it sounded great. In fact, they thought it looked, played and sounded like a Martin.

Customer Support : 10
Fast, friendly service. Again, check out their money-back guarantee on their website. Can't go wrong with a money-back guarantee!

I've only been playing for three years. But, I play with others who have been playing for a long, long time and I had been shopping for a guitar just like this one. I have a hard time making a barr chord and I was getting a lot of buzzing on any guitar I played. So, I needed a guitar with a thinner neck, and the strings slightly spread apart with good action. Well, let me tell ya' I found it with this guitar. It works great for me! I believe its a gift from God. I play christian music and love it. God bless you.

Made in 2005 overseas (Indonesia?). Solid Cedar top, LAMINATED rosewood sides and back. Fishman electronics. Gloss finish (so thick it makes the guitar feel like plastic...). Sealed Grover tuners. Comes with an autographed photo and a T-shirt.

Sound : 5
I play finger picking and strumming-style. Sound is very flat. Quite dissapointing considering the hype on Zager's web site. Tones die quickly. No kick. No resonnance.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 5
Fair set up. I honestly can't tell what "String-Science" did for this guitar. The bridge and string pegs in the body of the guitar still have glue crumbs/residue. The guitar is an obvious import and appears to have been slapped-together. Action is FAIR. Certainly no better than the Ovation guitar I've had for 15 years and never had adjusted.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
No Opinion. Haven't had the guitar for long and won't have it much longer.

Customer Support : 10
I must say it is excellent. Shipping was very fast and the return of the guitar is being handled the same way.

Overall Rating : 7
This guitar would be a fine begginer's guitar. I just didn't think it was worth the price price paid. It felt and sounded like a cheap guitar.

Solid Cedar Top, Rosewood Back, Sides and Frets. Fishman Classic 4 Electronics, Grover Tuners, Gloss Finish. Made in April ,05. Guitar has abalone rosette and full abalone inlay around guitar. For the price, it looks like a much more expensive guitar than what I paid for it.

Sound : 9
I play Rock, Folk, and am currently playing it plugged in with a Behringer 2x12 ultratwin 60 watts each side. The fishman works perfectly. I first had the guitar hooked up to the low end and had to turn the volume up. When I hooked it up to the high end, I got the response out of the 2x12 that I was looking for. The guitar has a rich full sound. I had to turn the bass down a little, feedback was easy to control.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Action was set up perfect as I have fat fingers, and can't play certain types of guitars. The guitar was almost in tune when I received it. I tuned it and it has stayed in tune for a week now.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I played live with it for about 20 minutes the other day. No problems. Hardware seems sound. Finish is gloss so there shouldn't be a problem. There is one strap button, I wish there were two. I would use it on a gig without a backup, but you never know what will happen to equipment, so always take the extra guitar just in case. What if some drunk knocked it over and stepped on it.

Customer Support : 10
The warranty is for the life of the guitar. I emailed the owners several times, and they responded the same day. They answered all of my questions, didn't beat around the bush. It hasn't needed repairs.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing off and on for 40 years. This guitar compares with the higher end guitars I have tested, in looks, features, and play ability. I tested Martins, Taylors, and Ovations. I chose this guitar because of its play ability and sound. I could play this guitar for 2 hours without my hands getting stressed and sore. I would buy this same guitar again if lost or stolen. I also have a Hohner Jumbo A/E, a Sanatoga 12 string A/E, A Takamine 12 string A/E from 1979, a Epiphone Les Paul.

Sound : 9
The sound is very nice, bright. I haven't tried it with an amp.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The EZ-Play action is very low, smooth. Tunes very easily, no buzzing. The neck is 1 3/4" wide and fairly thin allowing the hand to wrap around the neck.

Reliability/Durability : 9
The finish is very good, looking like hand rubbed fine furniture. I'm not rough with my instruments, so it should last a long time.

Customer Support : 10
Excelent customer support, lifetime warranty. I had a minor electronics problem and they were willing to pay for repair, exchange the guitar or return for repair. They made the customer happy. Try that with your favorite auto dealer.

Overall Rating : 9
I have had the guitar for a few months and am very pleased with it. It works well with the amp, very nice sound with or without the amp.

I would buy another Zager when the time comes. The price is not too high for a beginner and should last many years. I wish I knew about Zager when I bought my first guitar. This is my third guitar and it's the best.

Just using a small practice amp, but the Zager ZAD80CE sound great. It has a very balanced tone, very full, mellow tone

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Set up is fantastic. The action is a 10 plus. I have small hands so the action was the main factor in ordering from Zager guitars. Everything was as advertised, plus there is a 30 day 100% money back with shipping paid both ways if returned

Reliability/Durability : 8
The finish is good and he guitar feels very solid. no rattles or unwanted noises. I probably won't play live, but if things change, I would not hesitate to use the Zger 80CE live. Its a beautiful guitar.

Customer Support : 10
Excellant service. I recieved my guitar 4 days after placing the order. Customer service very friendly

Overall Rating : 9
I have owned several Takamines'(1000-1400), Breedlove(1200), Peal(500), Fender Electric, Guild. The Zager 80CE is by far the best sounding and has great action of any guitar I have owned or played. If you can't justify spending thousands for a high end brand name, check out Zager guitars at www.zagerguitars.com. Go For it!! Phil Ropp

This guitar was made in 2005. As to where it was made, this is unknown. The top is a solid cedar, the back is hard to tell. It looks nothing like rosewood, or even a laminate rosewood. I has the fishman classic 4 preamp (nice). The finish is gloss. Body style is a drednought. Tuners are nickle. Neck is finished in gloss too. The case is extra, and not a snug fit to the guitar.

Sound : 6
The sound of the guitar is not as boomy as you would expect from a drednought. A Larrivee L body knocks its socks off. The sound is more sweet, rather than bold or rich. Disappointed in the sound of the guitar for a dreadnought. Guitars are quite over priced.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The action is nice and low on the lower part of the fretboard (feels comfortable), but nothing that a good luthier could not do. On the upper part of the fretboard, it is no different than most guitars.

Reliability/Durability : 7
I don't know about the reliability of the guitar, as I just got it, but am sending it back. There is no strap button on the heel of the neck. The hardware is grover tuners, and will undoubtedly last. I would probably want to have a back-up guitar.

Customer Support : 8
This is yet to be seen as far as how quickly they will pick up the guitar to go back to them. The warranty is a lifetime warranty. They seem good as far as customer support is concerned.

Overall Rating : 6
I've been playing about 30 years off and on. I own a Taylor 912CE L7, a taylor 314CE L7, and a taylor 514CE, as well as a Larrivee LV-03RE. I also own a CA-30 Crate amp. Certain questions Zager will not answer, such as what is different about what they do versus what a good luthier would do. Answers are vague. The Taylors and Larrivee blow it out of the water.

ZAD80-CE. Cutaway Model with a Fishman (I have not yet tried it amplified). Beautiful and abundant abalone inlays, really glossy finish, a very pretty guitar. I was quite surprised when I opened the case at just how beautiful it was. I would expect to pay more for the quality of wood, inlays, and of course craftmanship. The neck is really interesting. While it's not a skinny guitar neck width-wise (I'm guessing 1 3/4), it's quite slender thickness-wise, so it's really very playable. The action is simply fantastic, soooo low! I haven't had the muting problems with barre chords the way I usually do, so it definitely scores points there. I don't know if it's my imagination, but the Zager dreadnaught body also seems slightly smaller than your average dreadnaught (or at least ones I'm used to). I'm comparing this against a Taylor, so it's got some stiff competition, but for a thousand dollars less, I'm thrilled with my new Zager.

Sound : 10
With the cedar top, it sounds like it's aged for many years and has mellowed. It projects really well without drowning me out when I sing (unlike other guitars). I have not tried it with the electronics, but can't wait.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
set up was simply incredible and is what sets this guitar apart from any other. The frets are really smooth, the bridge has interesting cuts in it. I just can't get over how low the action is! The wood is really beautiful, all matches well. I bought one of their "B" guitars, that had some "finish flaws" (which was only 2 droplets of extra varnish, very minor and no big deal at all to me).

Reliability/Durability : 10
This is a very sturdy guitar. The finish is not delicate at all and I see it lasting forever. I wanted this guitar to be one I could take out and not worry about, it is, and I won't!

Customer Support : 10
Customer service is simply superb...you couldn't ask for better. I have not had any problems, but I'm sure if I did, I'd get all the help I needed from the Zager family.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing off and on for about 25 years and I wish I had this guitar when I was first starting out. I'm sure my playing would be better without all the roadblocks that difficult necks have caused me along the way. I would highly recommend this guitar to female players who have neck issues. I bet the 3/4 size would be perfect for little girls and they'll get a much better quality guitar without it being shaped like a flower! I would definitely buy another if something tragic were to happen to it. I also own an old Sigma and a Taylor Dan Crary Model (which I'm considering selling now as I don't think I'll need it anymore!)

For too long we have associated expensive guitars with great features and sound. Do you want to play a guitar because of it's name brand? Or because of it's sound and playability? This guitar is 100% capable of delivering the same quality tunes of those very expensive guitars. If you don't believe me, buy one, and test it against the others. By the way, I'm not getting paid for this and I'm very critical of the sound that I hear. They have a 100% money back guarantee if you return your instrument in like new condition.

Came with a strurdy, heavy-duty case. Cool tee shirt, allen tool(for adjusting the neck) and some Martin picks trown in. UPS ground shipping is just as quick as the regular shippers' express delivery.

this guitar satisfies my needs for excellent sounds, playability is second to none. my style of play is a broad range of the folk, to country and western, to latin, to rock and all styles in between. I use a fender backstage 60 with no effects used. All electric guitars have feedback - this guitar is no different. the sounds coming out of my amp is almost as similar to the actual acoustic sound with the rich, full and bright sound from any top quality guitar. Incredible sustains on all strings. I especially like the way it plays easily, the way the guitar keeps in tune for days even at constant use. I was disappointed that it did not have a guitar strap attachment and a capo that other clients recieved.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
meticulously worked on, Denny personally hand-files the freets, nut, saddle and readjusts the bridge and neck, as needed. Top-quality craftmanship without a single flaw through and through.

Reliability/Durability : 9
this unit will definitely last a long time at live and constant playing. Hardware is of very durable quality. Zagers' quality control is superb and has quite a discerning taste. The finish is impressive and should last a very good long time with the minimum of care. I can stake my job and reputation on this dependable "work-horse" of a quality guitar. I'd be confident to go to work with just my Zag without a second numerary.

Customer Support : 8
the Zagers are a wonderful family and run the company in an efficient and well-run manner. Very helpful and quite knowledgeable at their individual crafts, from the luthiers, materiels buyers to the shipping clerks. a lifetime warranty comes standard with all Zagers, so buyer confidence is further strengthened by this.

Overall Rating : 9
I've been playing for 12 years as a semi pro status. I own an Ibanez electric, Yamaha acoustic, a Korg M-1 for live and studio recordings. I'd like to see Denny come out with a couple of twelve-stringers. I'd replace it wit the same Zager if ever something were to happen to it. I have researched, compared and poured over any articles about Zagers and the others and the zag can outperform any of them!
