The sound is pretty unique. Pickups seem to be medium/high output and match the tonal qualities of the guitar very well. I have played and owned many custom made and high end guitars I can honestly say that the Zemaitis has a sound and feel of its own.
Action, Fit, & Finish

This guitar is set up perfect for my playing style. Minimal neck angel makes it perfect for slide playing and rockin rythem. Dont get me wrong you can solo your heart out on it but to me it really seems to bridge the gaps that many guitars leave wide open. The neck is semi wide but not baseball bat style very nice comfortable carve to it. Makes it a joy to play for hours on end. The woods and hardware Tony used are topnotch and The quality of the the build is unmatched From the neck pocket to the binding and stringnut. The guitar has a lot of heart and soul put into it.

Unlike a lot of custom guitars Tonys guitars are built to play. Its focus it tone and playability not how fancy of an inlay could get put into the fretboard or howmany coil tap switches and knobs could be installed on this guitar without making it look like swiss cheese. Its a totaly functional work of art thats ready to come alive on stage or in the studio.

Tony has gave to us his vision of what a guitar should be and He nailed it as no other has. If anyone tells you that a Zemaitis guitar is over rated or not a joy to have and play they are just pissed that they dont have or could never afford one. DO NOT BE FOOLED THERE ARE NO MORE ZEMAITIS GUITARS BEING MADE EVER. IF SOMEONE SAYS THAT THEY CAN ORDER YOU ONE OR GET YOU A NEW ONE THEY ARE LYING. THERE ARE FRAUD ZEMAITIS GUITARS OUT THERE. IF YOU COME ACROSS ONE FOR SALE CHECK WITH THE OWNERS CLUBS IN THE UK OR JAPAN. MAKE SURE YOU GET DOCUMENTATION ON IT AND IF SOMEONE SAYS I WILL GET YOU A GREAT DEAL ON A USED ONE AN THE PRICE IS UNDER $10,000 MAKE SURE YOU LOOK INTO IT WELL. AS MOST PEOPLE THAT HAVE Z GUITARS KNOW THE VALUE AND 10K IS ABOUT STARTING PRICE NOW.
