Ease of Use : 8
Easy to create patterns and then to tweak them. Has a membrane keyboard. Hit record, the note you want, the "note button" (or "rest"), and do it 32 times. Then play. It took me a couple days to figure it out b/c I had no manual but I watched a demonstration on youtube which cleared up lots of questions. I was recording with it the next day.

Features : 8
Simple but lots of possibilites. Sequencer/synth. I want a vcs3 but this will do for now.

Expressiveness/Sounds : 8
Think of a John Carpenter horror film or a 80's sounding vcs3.

Reliability : 8
Has worked every time

Customer Support : No Opinion
yeah, right

Overall Rating : 8
I love it.

MANUAL PLAY/ SEQ.PLAYBACK:So simple it opens up a LOT of possibilities.
SEQ.PROGRAMMING: Not the most intuitive method for putting in notes, but if you write out what you're after it helps a lot. Able to write long sequences (32 measures!) 4 banks of 4 patterns. it's enough.
expect to be rewarded with suprises. sometimes it "steals" notes from adjacent patterns. You were bored with that riff anyway, weren't you?!

Features : 7
Monophonic. Membrane keys work best when unit is flat on a table.
Beautifully unreliable when worn with shoulder strap- sequencer runs continuiously until you plug a broken jack plug into the EXT CLOCK socket.

Expressiveness/Sounds : 10
definately a beast with a voice of it's own. Sounds especially good when amplified with an obnoxicator (http://www.acmeengineering.net/diy_obnoxicator.html)

Reliability : No Opinion
No. but absolutely possesses a "zen" element worthy of any device Don Buchla ever built. Lose your intent.
battery pack actually more reliable than it's 303 baseline offspring.PC board unmarked-but easy to trace connections & repair at home.

Customer Support : No Opinion
What do you expect for a device old enough to buy it's own drinks in a bar from a company that went out of business in the '80s

Overall Rating : 10
Unit has performed exceedingly well in extreme desert conditions-118 digree temperatures,70-knot winds, dust storms, thunderstorms. Been performing at the Burning Man festival in Nevada for the last 5 years. Since large-scale manufacturing never happened. The membrane sheets are all on separate pieces of clear plastic with carbon ink silk-screened on. great for post desert clean-up. You can't do THAT with a WASP or MOOG SOURCE.
Nothing like it anywhere. Some things aren't for everybody. If you're disapointed with it, you can sell me yours.

Ease of Use : 7
incredibly simple mono synth but fat sounding oscillators with the cutoff turned right down. the sequencer is really pretty hard to use but when you get it working the box has a slot on the back to take d size batteries so you can take it out to the woods and have some fun making squelchy noises with your hippy friends and their bongos. as long as you take a battery powered amp. and some cables. and you might as well use something cheaper and newer. except its analogue and cool. except no-one but you will know how cool that is.

Features : 5
polyphony one

keyboard action is a well cool touch sensitivce pad like the wasp.

no expansions.

cv and gate in and out (cool cool cool with the sequencer which incidentally has lots of memories which all die when you take out the batteries allowing you to be creative all over again).

Expressiveness/Sounds : 8
wicked fat bass sounds (really, really, one fat oscillator cabn go a long way). nioce squelch to it with the resonance turned right up. not the most inspiring monosynth. controls are: cutoff res sustain release osc tune and a choice of two env shapes to play with.

Reliability : 7
reliable.

i guess.

dont take the batteries out though ...

maybe theres a backup battery in there and i'm just to slack to look for it.

touch keyboard looks splash proof..

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 9
