Ease of Use : 10
A plug-n-play Q card. Very easy to do. I got this free from Alesis during their "buy a QS and get a Q Card Free". Make sure that you save your user bank(s) first before plugging this card in or using the extra samples on the floppy disks. Luckily on Alesis website, there are systex files for user banks and presets for all QS and other Alesis products.

Features : 10
4 MB sound card. The presets and mixes are awesome--very useable to add to any mix.

Expressiveness/Sounds : 9
I like many of the sounds that are on this q card, especially the rhythm loops!! The title of this card is Rap Techno Dance, so there's your genre that its go for. But really, anyone can add the sounds that's on this card to ANY specific genre or mix. Maybe not all the beat loops but the bass sounds thats on it. I'm not into creating or editing sounds of its parameters so the sounds on this (for me) are very useable as is. I'll add the usual reverb and such but that's it. The sounds are not in any order, which is a bummer, so that's why one point gets deducted from the score.

Reliability : 10
Well, it's a Q Card. No data can be saved on it so no need to backup this Q Card only.

Customer Support : 9
Alesis support staff responded to my fax (not my e-mail) in regards to the arrival of this q card.

Overall Rating : 10
For free, this card is excellent and can be mixed and matched to ANY genre you're interested in. If it were lost or stolen, I'll be very upset because I have to contact Alesis directly to get this card again (but I would though). This card is not even listed on their website or at any music store that I order from in the U.S. I believe that this card was probably out when the first QS keyboards entered the scene. I just ordered the Hip Hop Q Card so I'll submit a review for that one soon.

I have Alesis QS6.1, Alesis SR-16, Yamaha PSR-GX76, Yamaha MU-50, Tascam 414mkII, a old Mac w/Cakewalk Metro installed, Fostex VF-08, Digitech Vocalist VR, and Alesis Hip Hop Card.
