Most of the presets sound fine. Both Grand pianos are good. Most of the other sounds are just okay. The Church Organ and the harpsichord are poor though. Seriously Casio? A harpsichord? I didn't get the manual because I purchased this used, but it really is a no-brainer.

Features : 5
32 note polyphony is fine when using one sound at a time, but when you layer sounds, you may notice some notes cutting out. The reverb sounds fine, and I hardly ever use chorus, except on the electric pianos. It doesn't have any capability for expansion, but it does have midi in/out. I'd also like to note that this keyboard does NOT have a 1/4" output, so if you want to hook it up to an amp, this may be trouble. As for on-board sequencing, there is a two track recorder... pretty plain and simple. The keys are pressure sensitive to a degree, but are not very realistic. For example: if you press down a key slowly (too slowly to make a sound on a real grand piano) it will still make a sound.

Expressiveness/Sounds : 7
The grand pianos are pretty realistic. Not great, but they do the job. Everything else is just okay imo. There's no editing of the sounds, but there are several reverb and chorus types. Simple as pie to work this thing. Like I said before, it reacts okay to playing. There is no aftertouch on this keyboard. The keys are also pretty loud when they spring back up.

Reliability : 8
I haven't had any problems with it, and this probably isn't a keyboard you'd want to gig with.

never had to deal with Casio.

I wouldn't buy it again if it were lost or stolen. I'd definitely go with a Yamaha next time. I didn't pay a huge sum of money, so I am happy with what I got. It's a great student keyboard, but for professionals, I would recommend looking elsewhere. I just bought this because I thought it would be great to learn piano on, and it was, but now that I've been playing for a while, it's time to move on. The hammer action is okay, but definitely not completely realistic. The pianos are good, and I even like electric piano 2. I do hate how loud the keys are, this gets annoying when playing at soft volumes. Overall it's an okay keyboard. I'd really only recommend it to a student, though.

The preset sounds are reasonable for the money. I can clearly hear the samples repeating every 2 seconds or so (but only on the lower piano notes) There is no honky-tonk bar-room type piano sound. Why? Perhaps it's apparent that I am not a player of any standing but I wanted that sound in a piano. Do I really need a church organ or harpsichord preset? Anyway, Selecting both grand piano sounds and using reverb and chorus nearly nails that jangly "one string in the group of three" detuned sound. The manual is excellent, no question.

32 note polyphony. How many fingers have you got! Keyboard action is acceptable but not the same as a real piano. Effects are easy to use but there's only the two aforementioned. I have no problems with their sound. Midi in / out ports. Expansion has to be via a 1/8" headphone port. What were they thinking of? What would the inclusion of a 1/4" TRS and an XLR cost? Listen up guys, it's 2008. Everything has a USB port on it nowadays. I'd happily trade in the midi ports for some more useful (to me) connectors. I'd buy a dedicated Midi controller if I wanted one that badly. There is no sequencer that I am aware of (at least from memory)

Thumbs down for church organ and harpsichord presets. This piano is designed as a home-use, self-contained box of tricks and to that end it fits its own bill perfectly. I've only been tinkering with it for about 15 months now so I am not good enough to be critical of feel and dynamics yet. It plays and sounds just fine to me but when I play on my sister's upright "grand" (with missing notes and integral candle sticks on!) oh boy is there ever a difference! Still, it works well for me.

Reliability : 7
I wouldn't rely / depend upon this instrument. I'm afraid that it has value engineering stamped all over it. If I was gigging (unlikely) I would not be using this anyway. Difficult to rate given the foregoing but since I'm only going to use it at home (which is what it's intended for) I reckon that it should rate fairly highly.

My Casio (plastic) watch failed after a lock up. The downloaded instructions told me to press a reset button inside whilst inserting the battery or something. I couldn't find the reset button even with a magnifying glass. The company representative that I spoke to told me that I would just have to return it and stack up ??45 sterling. Nice try guys but no cigar.

I wouldn't replace this, I'd get something else, probably a Yamaha. I have playaed guitar for nearly 40 years but piano for only 15 months and I'm not so sure that you'd call it playing.....I did not compare this product- It was a gift. I'd sooner have a Yamaha but It was a superb gift and I am still enjoying it on a daily basis. You can't say fairer than that can you? As noted previously, it ought to have a 1/4" line output and an XLR if possible. Dear mr. Casio, wise up and give us a USB port and don't even think about jacking the price by ??200 sterling for the facility- it wont wash.

The piano is really easy, to use, fairly intuitive and if anything seems too difficult to figure out, the manual states how to do it clearly and effectively.

Features : 8
The keyboard action is great, very close to that of an acoustic piano, the built in effects are fairly solid - the reverb is decent, however I don't use chorus since I tend to think it sounds more annoying than anything else. It has MIDI ins and outs allowing it to be basically used as a controller for any Sound Modules or effects to that extent. The only problem with that aspect is that it isn't a very elaborate or intuitive MIDI controller - it was desinged to be a self contained piano, which is fine, and I even plan to use it with a Sound Module in the future for more tonal options.

Expressiveness/Sounds : 7
It seems fairly sensitive to touch and pressure. The grand pianos sound very nice, especially through external speakers or a PA. The other sounds are good, Electric Piano's seems a bit artificial to me, but they definitely work. The vibrophone is very cool to me. The organ sounds are good, but when combined sound better than either individual setting. The key seems to be with the Privia that combining sounds will get you what you want more often than just individual sounds themselves. Alone the perc. organ setting seems rather overdone and unusuable to me, but when combined with Elec. Piano 1 gets a cool 60s low organ/electric piano sound, similar to Booker T. Combinations of sounds definitely help with the available tones.

Reliability : 9
I plan on using it live, but haven't really tested it out yet. It seems to stand up to my friend's HEAVY touch and playing style quite well, so I don't really see any problems with the quality.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had any use for it, yet.

For what it is, which is a weighted lower end digital piano, I am very happy with it, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a similar product.

To begin with, this is my very first ditital piano. Presets seem to be sounding ok, at least better than on older PX100 and PX300 series. Noting the price I could even say the sounds are good. After all, this is a home/student pieano.
Set up of instrument is very easy and straight forward, does not take much of intellect to start playing. Once you have discovered how to use the 2nd function key, all the secrets are gone.

Features : 5
32 note poly is nothing much to be honest, I tried to reach this limit on single instrument and failed. I think I felt smth missing with layered instruments on the VERY BIG chords. The weighted keys are nice, like those on simple home pianos.
Built in reverb and chorus with 8 levels though I don't see much use of them using it as a simple home piano.
No expansion capabilities.
MIDI in/out on board - haven't tried yet. Sounds like key sensitivity has 3 or 4 levels.
2-track sequencer, nothing special, can be used to record an idea quickly.
Lack of Line Out I consider the place in first need for improvement.

Expressiveness/Sounds : 7
Most instruments sound surprisingly realistic and good via good kbd amp, especially the accoustic bass and both Grand Pianos.
Today is only the second day I am having this instrument but it already started "coming along with me", I found it being quite responsive to my thoughts.
Still, again, this is a home piano.

Reliability : 8
With the two days of experience it seems reliable, reliable in its simplicity.

Though they run some kind of "register and win" on their product registration website ;)

If this PX110 was lost or stolen I would most probably buy smth more serious as that would be already my 2nd digital piano ;)
I do not have any other digital piano so I have nothing to compare with.
I think it is perfect for practice, and perhaps one day I will also bring it to some small stage or pub.
