This is a wireless MIDI transmitter and reciever system.Very simple to use right out of the box. Frequency dip switches are small, and somewhat difficult to get to (frequency is pre-set at the factory, though, so there should be no need to access them). Manual is short, and very straight-forward.

The features of any wireless MIDI system are its range and its reliability. The range, according to the manufacturer, is 500 feet. I've walked as far away as I could from the reciever, and have not lost signal. I have had no interference using it around wireless microphones, etc. The only complaint I have about the features, is that the transmitter pack does not come with a belt clip. I have been using Velcro instead, and that has worked fine.

I have used the system a number of times in rehearsal, and once at a live show without any problems. I had no signal dropouts. The manufacturer states the transmitter will run for 30 hours on two AA batteries, but I changed them before the show, just to be safe. So far, I have had no problems with the system. I dropped the transmitter once, on a cement floor with no ill effects.

My dealings with the company have been very friendly. I offered to endorse the product, and have since become an authorized dealer for the Northern California region.

I use the MIDIJet with my Roland AX-7 strap-on keyboard. I had stopped using the AX-7 for a long time, out of frustration of dealing with the MIDI cable. Now that I am wireless with it, it has added a great deal to our live show. I can run all over the stage, into the audience, etc. I would certainly buy another MIDIJet if I lost mine. There are a few other products that cost less, but have a much shorter range, and there are some that cost a great deal more, with the same level of performance. The list price is under $400, which I think is pretty hard to beat.
