If you are familiar with drawbar organs then everything is straight forward. If not, you will find your way of using it within 10 mins! Nothing else to say...

61 keys, 9 drawbars (+3 usable presets), 9 percussion tabs (+2 presets)with adjustable volume and decay, vibrato/tremolo (adjustable rate and depth),pitch bending, and a seperate panel for the bass settings: footage (16',8',4'), dacay, range, resonance, volume. Overall all you need for making a wide range of Hammond-clone sounds. No leslie effect although the leslie fx featured in the next model wasn't that good, so for the leslie either use a real one or a good sim. Well rounded plastic keys and very nice keyboard action.

No midi, velocity. This is a 1978-9 model.... if you look at it in terms of how well it mimics ahammond then IT IS not a HAMMOND! But it sounds damn well! I own a ELKA X-55, Farfisa VIP 370,Roland RS-09,Hammond T500 have tried the KORG CX3.None of them get as close to hammond like as the crumar. Nice and thick sound and a good 'swell' action. fiddling around with the modulation along with a good leslie sim (korg G4 in my case) the results are astonishing. I look at hammond clones in terms of making sounds that hammonds cannot make and the Crumar has its own (and interesting) character. The T1 is my new baby and full of suprises. RECOMMENDED!!!

It is well built, compact and rugged. It was supposed to be sitting in a humid cellar for years, I opened it cleaned the pots and the sliders with a contact cleaner and it's back to life. Looks very reliable to take along in gigs something not in case with Farfisa and the Elka. It is not light but at the same time not very heavy and bulky. In fact it fits in my cars boot so I can use the backseats for other equipment. I will give it a 7 just because it hasn't been already in the battlefield but looks ready to go 4 it!

What I unexpectingly found in T1 is a nice, fat, swelly sound (especially thru a leslie sim) something you don't get with a variety of hammond-clones available around the 70's and the 80's. I haven't managed to get my hands off of it which means that it's full of flavors, spicies, colours and suprises. if i didn't have the Korg G4 i would wish that it had a decent leslie sim plus Midi, velocity action (because of its nice keyboard feel), coffee making machine, microwave, hoover, and a robotman to carry it around. so I will give it a 9 insteed of 10 but this is what you get for 160 euros (incl package)and believe it is much much worth of it.... Once you find it, own it!

It sounds great. I once had an old Korg CX 3 that still is famous for it's Hammond sound and I think the Crumar sounds as good as the Korg but it's a well kept secret for most musicians that it even exists! In studio I mostly work with Native Instruments B4 but this one is more fun and with the Leslie fx that comes with the B4 it sounds real good!

It was a bargain! There are a lot of good unknown organs out there so I would look for something simular and if I found another Crumar it would be nice. I've been playing the guitar and keyboards for 25 years I've got an Elka 707, some digital pianos, Yamaha CP80, A Grand piano, two upright pianos, some syntezizers, two gibson guitars and a lot more.
I like the Crumar beacuse of it's personality and that it is a real instrument that sounds how it sounds. It's not as good as a modern hammond cloone but it's a lot more fun!

When I bought this it didn't come with a manual. It's analog so its all knobs and buttons. Meaning very simple!!! The only thing is I didn't realize is that there is a tuning knob on the back which is easily moved and noticeably detunes your organ. But like I said I had no manual so....

Its action is like a synth. The keys are cheap little plastic, but do a good job for being 20+ years old. The fx.... are as follows, leslie! duh!! It has full drawbars and 61 keys. It also has complete level and contour control(i.e. treble, bass,.etc..) Its also easily hooked up to amps and any type of fx unit. I tried to add octaver but it sounded horrible so don't.

This organ has very realistic sounding leslie simulation. The B3 wannabe! Its definitely not the best, but when I used my rotary speaker, flanger or phaser fx it really created a huge thick sound. Also the Crumar is not like most analogs which are warm and thick, to me it was a little thin and not very warm. However when you add those fx that I already mentioned it warmed right up! My favorite thing about this organ is when you mess with the decay, percussion, and resonance you can get some really great "techy" like synth sounds. Very cool!

It 20+ years old what more do I need to say! If it has lasted this long I don't think its going anywhere.

Crumar when out of business a long time ago. Fat chance at getting in touch with them unless you call Italy where the company came from.

If it were lost or stolen I would save up my money and get a new organ(If I can I'd get a VK-7)..Because you will never find this one again! And if you do buy it and hold on tight! I've been playing for about 11 years now and I'd have to say that the T1/C with an fx stompbox(like the Peavey Delta fx stompbox...) or other fx module I'd put it up against the Oberheim, the Voce V-5, and possibly the XB-2(or XK-2) anyday. I think the only thing better than the reliability and sound on this baby is a VK-7.
