Just like all Emu modules. Nothing too complex to operate. Well laid out design.

Enough to work with. It works much better tho with a Launchpad. The Proteus 2XR has TWICE the User memory of the regular Proteus 2 which is very nice for storing your sounds.
Expressiveness/Sounds

This unit has wonderful orchestral sounds that are pretty hard to find. I think its one of the best for these types of sounds. Very clean and very realistic too. Some are bad, but most are great and very usable.

This Proteus 2XR is a must if you use these kind of sounds. I dont know what I would replace it with, especially for that price. I would look for another one of these. They are hard to find though. Worth every cent.
