E-MU Proteus 3 World

Extremely simple to operate like all Emu modules. Read the manual. Its actually helpful.

Typical features for an Emu rack unit. Plenty to work with. I wish the case was metal, but the plastic is tough.

Sounds are AWESOME. EMU does it again. Way nice ethnic and tribal sounding stuff. Very cool if you want the WORLD sound in your music. I couldnt do without these great sounds. This unit glows of sonic quality!

I would definately buy another one since it has such unique sounds. I dont think i will ever let this go. Its oozing with uniqueness!!!

If you want the world/ethnic flavors of drums sounds this is your baby. The only other device that I know of that has such tastefull ethnic stuff in it is the Carnaval (also by emu) but its more than drums. I love the proteus line of gear. Easy to use, sounds are killer and the price is right!

the Proteus 3 World is another module in the Emu Proteus series before Emu moved on to Morpheus and Vintage Keys. If you know the operating system of any Proteus then you know them all. The sounds are great with plenty of variety and editing patches is a breeze. Emu has always had easy, user- friendly operation with logical and simple editing. Emu has excellent manuals that are easy to understand.

As a rack-mount module, the Proteus 3 World is simple and elegant with 32 voice polyphony that gets gobbled up pretty quickly when patches are layered and sequenced by a computer. There aren.t any effects, no on- board sequencer or arpegiator, just the basics.

Reach for the Pro 3 for ethnic sounds, exotic percussion and world-beat flavors.Cross-cultural pollination makes music fresh again and the Pro 3 can add that international feel.

Emu machines seem to last forever with zero problems and no repairs. Gig use is a natural as it saves carrying all those heavy keyboards, Just midi it up and start playing.

Emu is the best.

I use the Proteus 3 World as a percussion addition to my drum machine. Although it was not created necessarily for this use, and does not work like a drum module by playing different sounds on each key, it does keep the beat more interesting and even bizarre.. Modules like this make the creative possibilities much more wide open for unusual and anomalous midi functions. Discover these surprises for yourself.
