Very easy. Manual simple and helpful.

The keyboard action is a bit weird, but I use it as a second keyboard, so it's ok. The most important features about this keyboard are the sliders and rotary controllers. I use it to control Native Instruments B4, and you can set the sliders to operate just like real drawbars. Plus, you can plug in an expression pedal and a footswitch for leslie. There are also push-buttons that you can set to control other parameters. The 9th drawbar would have made it complete.
Expressiveness/Sounds

It only has velocity offset, and no velocity curves, which is bad.

I use it without a backup. Had it only for 2 months though, so I can't really tell. I don't know if I like the fact that I can see the printed circuit board between the keys.

I've emailed Edirol about the "drawbar" setting and they emailed back shortly after to tell me how to do it.

If lost or stolen, I would buy the same one. I had originally bought a Midiman Radium, which I returned to the store because it gave me stuck notes and it didn't have velocity curves. Although it doesn't have velocity curves neither, this one has better features (push-buttons, plugs for footpedals). It is definitely worth the extra bucks over a Radium. It feels less like a toy and more like an instrument.
