Ease of Use : 10
This is single manual combo-organ with drawbars.
No preset sounds, just pool drawbars and play.

Features : 10
Features of this instrument is very relative. If farfisa vip600
have "score" 9, matador have 4,farfisa professional have score 10,
hammond c3 have score 15 (of 10)...
For little combo-organ, this features is good, but no compare
this organ with bigger and more expensive farfisa combos, or hammond. If u like farfisas, you will be happy with this instrument.
Matador sounds little diferent of other farfisas. Sounds softly,
gently and little sad.
To mee, this 5 drawbars is only a 5 diferent "filters" of one mixed 16'+8'+4'sound.Registers:flute,brass,horn,oboe,reed.brilliance.
Percussion with speed control for repeat. Manual bass with attack,
identic vith vip basic manual bass.vibrato, delay vibrato and jack
for "slalom" pedal. I will make "pitch band" and put it in this conector. ;-)

Expressiveness/Sounds : 9
This instrument no have too much registers and efects, but all
of this stafs of matador is good and practic.Matador is good option for traveling organist from this years, alternative bands, or maybee
little cruchs.Vibrato efect is good, exelent repeat and percussion, key action is soft and fast, sweel pedal is perfect, big and hard, with photo-cell, working perfect 30 years ago! I don't have original "slalom" pedal, but slalom
work with ordinary volume pedal if u put jack in "slalom" ,and
in "out" from volume pedal. And bylding of this organ is very
good, combination of wood, silver metal and suitcase elements,
standard farfisa metal legs and plastic note stand, sweel pedal,
all in "standard" option. Optional is only slalom pedal.

Reliability : No Opinion
I'm "dependent" of organs from my ten year ;)
I love allmoust all kinds of organs and electonic organs, from hammonds to farfisas, cabinets,combos,leslies...I have yamaha
yc45d,crumar organizer2,elka x55,x705,hammond b200,farfisa compact
de luxe and matador in this moment. And my ex organs:crumar t2,korg
cx3 and bx3,farfisas pro.88,vip400.vip500,hammond x5...

Fairly straightforward Farfisa organ. Different set-up if you're used to the Combos, though. Drawbars instead of tabs, which can be a little finicky getting into position and keeping there in some cases.

Features : 7
A few voices in the drawbars, brilliance, and some wacky "special" effects, most prominent being the slalom pedal, which is a full-octave glissando basically. Additionally, a volume pedal (doesn't start at "O" though), a vibrato control and a repeat. The repeat is just a vari-speed cut-off, and the vibrato is pretty weak. If you open this thing up and see how the contacts work, you'll get a pretty good idea of the limitations of the drawbars--pretty much 3-5 different contact positions for each drawbar, there being no continuous variable control on anything but the pedals and the repeat. But what do you expect? It's a 30 year old Italian organ! Oh yeah, it's got a pair of decent sounding speakers built-in. They don't respond well when the bass function is on, but may just require some tightening up in their mounts to kill the buzzing.

Expressiveness/Sounds : 8
Not your classic Combo sound. There's no reverb, for instance. It's a bit more "modern" than the Combos, made in the very early 70's instead of the mid/late 60's. BUT, there's no denying you can get some crazy sounds out the the thing all the same, particularly with the repeat control and the slalom pedal, squirreling your pitch up and back. And you get some very decent classic electronic organ sounds out of the thing, which does have its applications.

Reliability : 8
Not a lot to go wrong. Not planning to gig with it really, but who knows?

Customer Support : 8
Hah! Did I mention this organ is 30 years old and was made in Italy? Actually, I got lucky and found a guy in town that specializes in old keyboard repair; he hosed it out and put a new power switch on it, I was set. It's pretty primitive, so repairs are necessarily that big of a problem, I don't think.

Overall Rating : 7
All things considered, I'd rather have a Combo again. But this thing's still got its own endearing qualities and features that I can certainly find useful applications for. There's some odd oscillation questions I've got about it, signal changes as you cross octaves, that sort of thing. It's not as noisy as I remember my Combo being, I can say that for it. Considering my total outlay buying/shipping/repairing it was just under $200, it's hard to complain too much.

One manual electronic organ with drawbars, percussion effects, left hand bass function and built in fine italian speakers, lots of fun to use

Features : 9
5 octave polyphonic keyboard,1 octave monophonic bass function with controls for attack and level,6 drawbars for flute, brass, horn, oboe, reed and master brillance control, percussion section with phrasing, decay and repeat function, vibrato with speed and delay controls, rear "slalom",amp and earphone jacks and a beautiful and distinctive wood cabinet with 2 8" speakers. I think a sustain function would make this perfect

Expressiveness/Sounds : 9
you can't even imitate any of the drawbars'instruments but by fiddling with them you can create very warm organ sounds and with percussions you can create something of a clavicembal, connect it to a leslie speaker(i have an Elka elkatone)and enjoy some groovy hammond tones, but don't ask for clean sounds as it's still a Farfisa with the typical "reed" voice. Built in speakers are really warm

Reliability : 10
the reason i have this organ is that the mains transformer blown, but belive me,Farfisas are italian and well handmade and with a little rispect they last a lifetime. Mine is a 1974 model and still in great shape, be always careful with switches an drawbars as they can break if abused

Customer Support : No Opinion
customer support for a 1974 organ?! i've got the luck of finding a transformer but it was only luck! good that farfisa organs are reliable.

Overall Rating : 10
it is a beautiful italian art piece! i've been very lucky to find this instrument in a scrapyard without a scratch.
