Ease of Use : 10
10. The Farfisa Fast Duo is so simple that a child can use it. Come to think of it, I do believe that this organ was specifically made for children!

Features : 7
This organ comes with a bright orange top and underside with bright blue sides. It comes with four octaves: the first consists of bass, which comes in reverse coloured keys; the second set is the organ section proper.
There are four instrument tabs: clarinet, flute, reed, strings. There are two control knobs: bass and volume. The bass truly sounds terrific!. With two built in amps and a plug, you needn't worry about finding an external amp. My only drawbacks to the organ are that the stand is too short for a 6'3" person like myself and that the keys are made for children, not big fingered adults.

Expressiveness/Sounds : 7
Farfisa Fast Duo leads you to believe that you will hear actual clarinet, flute, reed, and strings sounds. Not so! The Strings sound really "cheesy"--truly high pitched. The Reed is not really impressive. But the flute and clarinet sounds are deep, full, and sound especially wonderful with the vibrato turned on fast. There are two types of Vibrato tabs. Fast and Slow. There are two types of Vibrato Control tabs: on/off. Farfisa sounds best with full vibrato.

Reliability : 10
This organ is fully transistorized, which means that if something breaks down you will need to hire a professional repairman who specialises in older musical instruments. He won't come cheap. However, I have had my Farfisa for over ten years, and it has always played beautifully. This organ weighs about 60lbs/25kgs, so I wouldn't want to carry it around all the time.

Customer Support : 1
Farfisa is now back in business selling synths. What is most surprising is that the company has turned its back on the millions of dedicated organists who love this organ. It won't offer a new dept that handles repairs, old spare parts etc. Even Vox has re-issued old guitars and amps as replicas of its older models. Would that Farfisa did likewise.
In fact, I am trying to rally people globally to get Vox and Farfisa in Italy to re-issue their vintage keyboards and/or offer help in restoring and repairing old equipment. Currently I am told by so many that Farfisa has no Customer Support for old vintage equipment. Truly a shame I think when Farfisa is selling crappy G7 synths that do no even come with preset vintage organ sounds.

The words Useless, Worthless, and Rotting Limburger and Blue Cheese come to mind

Overall Rating : 6
I would not wish to buy this organ again. If you look on Ebay you'll understand why. Nobody in their right mind should pay 400 USD for a Farfisa Fast Three organ, let alone 200 USD for my Fast Duo. If you are desperate for vintage Farfisa sounds, do yourself a big favour. Buy a used Roland VK 7 and get Vintage 60's-70's organ sound cards from Roland or other computer techies out there. Transistor organs are not hard to simulate via Computers and digital simulators. There are no hernias, hassles, haggling repair costs to worry about. Sorry Farfisa Fast Duo, you ain't worth 150 USD at current inflated market values. Who knows-- may sell this at a garage sale to give someone else some pleasure.
