Ease of Use : 10
Just bought the SL760 as I needed a good master controller with a solid action /build and easy to use functions. I had been looking at this board for a while and it is exaclty what I was after. It has some buttons to select and edit midi parameters, velocity curves and zones, there is no patch storage but because of its ease of use, you don't need them and no battery backup is required.

Features : 10
As mentioned the SL760 has basic controller functions but does what I need it to do. I use it to control my VST based music rig, I don't use hardware anymore as my PC, Sound card and VST software does the lot. If the SL760 was used in a live situation, a midi patchbay would be required to control a large rack of gear effectively. The main reason for buying this controller would be its action. The piano semi-weighted keys feel fantastic. I wanted a nice balanced between piano action and synth action as I play alot of everything, piano,B3,lead etc and this board has a versatile feel. I played a HALion / Giga piano patch and was blown away, I still felt I was playing piano as opposed to a synth.

Expressiveness/Sounds : No Opinion
No sounds on this board, just a good solid Controller.

Reliability : No Opinion
The SL760 certainly feels like its built to last, I have no intention of gigging with it as I'm a solo musician but I would if I needed to without any worries or backup not that keyboard players ever have backups...

Customer Support : No Opinion
Not needed any support for this. I would go through the shop I bought it at though rather than a manufacturer.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
Overall, I am really happy with my SL760, the action and functions are just right for what I use it for, if I was playing live, I'd probably have a couple of modules or a virtual system which this controller can more than cope with. Because its a controller with no sound source, it will never go out of date, I can just buy software to fuel my studio. Its great value for money and feels like a quality keyboard (which it is). By the way, FATAR supply their keyboards to over 40 manufactuers, Kurzweil being one of the famous ones, the SL760 keyboard is the same used in the Kurzweil PC2.
