Ease of Use : 8
I've had this keyboard for about 5 years. I'm only just starting to understand tech stuff now but i found this fairly straight forward. The manual is clear and concise and the keyboard face very user friendly. I haven't really touched the deeper midi applications.

Features : 5
Heaps of features for a cheaper keyboard. I don't have the sampler board. The effects are fairly straight forward and only the amount i seditable but their i few to choose from including combinations. The actions not great. The keys are very flimsy.

Expressiveness/Sounds : 2
I'm realising more and more how crappy the sounds are. The organ sounds are pitiful and I am ashamed to use them. How's that for harsh! Some of the pad sounds are half decent. You've got quite a few sounds to choose from, over 300 but the bread and butter aint that good. The FX are decent.

Reliability : 2
No. Well at least I haven't been able to. Yes, the amazing self destructing keys! Oh how many times i walked back into that music shop 'here's that guy again, with the touch of a hammer'. I shoulda got my money back then but i was tricked into buying it. Hey man i think it was time to move on from my casio!!! :) My next point i don't know if it should apply to the category below.

Customer Support : 2
I often didn't get my keyboard back for months. I've learnt to yell a lot. When it came back, it had new electronic problems.....what the hell do i still own keyboard for??? Ahhhh how can i stay mad at you...

Overall Rating : 3
Anyone wanna buy it?

This keyboard is pretty easy to use, the buttons are well located and it has an easy navigation menu.

Features : 9
Lots of features, 32-note polyphony, over 20 reverb and chorus fx,
384 sounds, and if you add an expansion board you can sample and you can connect it to your TV to see the lyrics of a song.

Expressiveness/Sounds : 7
The sounds are decent, but what can you expect for the price?.

Reliability : 9
I haven't had any problems with it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
fortunately I have never dealt with GEM.

Overall Rating : 7
If I lose this keyboard or soemone steals it, I would probably buy a Ketron XD9 (that thing is awesome!!!)
The board is ok, But I really need a new one, the sounds and styles are dated.

This keyboard is fairly difficult to program at first. But after 2 years of owning it seems rather easy now. Couldn't live without the owners manual though.

Features : 9
Lot's of features. Don't use half of them, but I use it on the road. Has lots of memory for saving song settings which is useful.

Expressiveness/Sounds : 6
Sounds are good for the price. Lot of choices and lots of tweaking possibilities.

Reliability : 3
Here is my quaff about this keyboard. As I said earlier, I use this keyboard to gig with and the quality of the keys are terrible. I have broken 3 sets of keys in the middle of playing. The cost for replacements are around $15 a pop including shipping. They are just to flemsy for harder than normal use. I have no idea what they were thinking when they designed them. I just hope that they don't quit making them before I have a chance to sell it, which I want to sale it now, because it broke again. BAD!!!

Customer Support : 9
Very friendly....send them your money they send you replacement parts, then say "Thank you".

Overall Rating : 3
OK is about all I can say. Wouldn't buy another one either.
