Ease of Use : 10
Extremely easy to use. What you see is what you get

Features : 6
3 presets (Piano, electric piano and clav) than can be toggled on/off independently giving 8 sound variations. Simple chorus with preset depth and a speed control and a nice graphic equaliser. There's a decay knob that alters the length of time the notes take to fade to silence and a decy contour switch with 3 poisitions.

Internal speaker, high & low impedance outputs and a headphone jack.
Like all electronic (rather than electriv) pianos of this era, it used divide-down technology to give full polyphony so no note-stealing even with the decay on full.

Expressiveness/Sounds : 8
No velocity or aftertouch of course. Action is OK though - not too springy.

Firstly, understand that this is a vintage machine and uses technology derived from the world of home organs to create it's 3 tones. Realism is not an option however charm and character are.

Piano - sounds great with the chorus on and the decay wacked up. Nothing like a real piano of course but very atmospheric. Think Harold Budd circa 'The Serpent in Quicksilver'. Nothing toy-like about this sound - rich, full and full of movement. It is to piano sounds what the sollina string machine is to strings - a lush evocation rather than a perfect simulcra.

Electric piano sounds more like vibes to me. Add a little tremolo to this sound and I'm in heaven. Lovely

Sadly, the clav is not good. Solo, it's a bit plinky plonk and more suited to backing a Noh play than busting a funk grove with Herbie Hancock. You can however add this sound to the other 2 to fatten them out a bit so all is not lost.

All in all, this Korg sounds far nicer than it has any right to and I tend to use it dry - no effects apart from the built-in chorus as they seem to muddy what is already a warm and characterful sound.
A touch of tremolo on the vibes...sorry, electric piano is all you need...

Reliability : 8
Typical early Korg build quality - made for a hard life backing karaoke versions of Koo Mei songs in hostess bars from Osaka to Okinawa.

Customer Support : No Opinion
It's 30 years old and therefore not supported.

Overall Rating : 8
This thing is rare - it was Korg's first attempt at an electronic piano and I have to say they got it pretty much spot on. I had low expectations when I bought this a month ago but happily the sounds are full of character and atmosphere. Just dont expect a Stienway...

Early Korg gear has a charm of it's own - I have a Korg Delta synth, a Korg Stage Echo (beats the Roland Space Echo hands down) and I used to own a Korg MS-20 synth. The LP-10 is every bit as strange and wonderfull as its younger siblings...

Ease of Use : 10
Very easy to use only simple functions

Features : 3
it has many notes of polyphony I can't figure how many exactly but it isn't a big deal at all because the sound is bad.Off course no midi cause these keyboards introduced in 1980!chorus effect and equalizer only.Better than nothing

Expressiveness/Sounds : 2
this thing is all analog but it is not a synth even it could be.It is supposed to be a electronic piano but it sounds more like an a synth on the initial setting. It has 3 pure waves waves that stand for piano, electric piano and clav each.It has 3 envelopes and the sustain mode is adjustable. The sound is thin but is also retro in my opinion. The keyboard doesn't feel real and there is no velocity but you don't really need this as the sound has not realism.

Reliability : 9
I have mine more than 20 years and it still works!Even the keyboard is so reliable even now all the keys work perfect.very hard case made of iron and wood with some plastic. It sounds like a toy maube but it doesn\t look like that.

I don't know!I don't think so...

Overall Rating : 3
iT WOULD BE USEFUL ONLY IF YOU WANT TO HAVE SOME VINTAGE PIANO SOUND
