Im using version V1.04, Regarding presets: Strings, some brass, drums, some synh sounds sound ok but.... guitars, basses sound like there from a cheap gm midi module....or worse. Combi mode with Karma is where the M3 sounds better, exept of course the guitar sounds.

120 notes of polyphony, Keyboard action is not the best I have ever played on but it does have pressure sensitive aftertouch. Effects sounds a bit metallic overall. Expansions are Radias card, 256 mb ram card, Firewire card, and some future usb rom expansions. Im not using the internal sequenser.

When using the factory settings on velocity (4) it feels like it doesnt go from 0-127. more like 0-100. that can be fixed with setting it to (5). The sounds are a mixed bag as stated before. This is definitely a keyboard that fits the dance/ambient music, maybe classical music also. The effects sounds a bit metallic and is not he best but ok

The build quality is ok but could be better. The white coulor is going to get dirty snd the text on the knobs wears out easily.

If it were lost or stolen, I would not buy it again. I would have waited for the next Roland keyboard instead. I have mixed feelings about this keyboard. Some sounds ar good and some are just plain awfull that should not be in a keyboard at this pice range.
