No problems until now. USB driver is very bad, stucks my CW Sonar, so I only use USB power and MIDI OUT routed to my soundcard's MIDI IN

If it was lost or stolen, I'd buy a decent CME controller, which is much superior in the same price range and has muuuuucccchhh better keyboard!

This is a controller. It does come with a software driver for PC use. Nothing too difficult to use.

They keyboard action is not great. The action is very cheap feeling, but reflects the cost. It has a lot of sliders and knobs which really come in handy for soft synths. The mod wheel and pitch wheel are adequate. Being a controller, you have plenty of midi capabilies. There is no after touch, but there is velocity. You must set it everytime you power up. The LED read out is very handy.

This is a controller. There are no sounds.

I was very careful of this keyboard, but after a year it started going out of control. After powering up the LED read out would go nuts, and the keyboard would send out erratic midi informantion. However, you could still basically play it.

M-Audio told me there was nothing I could do since it was out of warranty. It wouldn't be worth fixing.

I would never buy an M-Audio controller again. I think one would do better buying a used synth and use that as a controller. Plus you would have another synth. It was not worth what I paid. The sliders and knobs were a nice function for the time this was first put out. I also liked the wheels, but this thing was overall unreliable for performance.

if you want a decent midi controll with even somewhat realistic velocity response DO NOT BUY THIS. the keystation series has 10 times better velocity response and is cheaper

Easy to use, but it's not like any 3 year old could figure it out.

This is just a controller. But it has all the knobs and sliders needed. It could've been better if it had "buttons" that would fluctuate between different values.
Expressiveness/Sounds

It's not a weighted keyboard, and the keys feel a little scary in terms of their durability.

I can depend on it, and I would use it at a gig. However, some of the keys starting freaking out on me about 6 months into owning it, so I would recommend a backup. Your mileage may vary.

It took about a month after sending the kebyoard in for repair due to some of the higher keys not sending signal if I press them.
It took way too long, and they never updated me on their progress unless I called in first. They only returned one of my calls. When I got the product back, it was a new keyboard in a new box (or at least that's what I assume). Sure, I'm happy I got a new one, but if they were just going to send me a new one, couldn't they had sent me the new one a couple weeks earlier? My problem was very noticeable and not something that required weeks of testing.

I would probably buy it again if it got stolen. It's the only keyboard that I know of that doesn't have built in sounds, has the two little "wheels." And is the cheapest in cost.

Using this as a controller for a strictly hardware setup; plugged it right in and was playing in seconds.
Features

I liked the feel of this controller quite a lot. I was looking for something that felt like my old-school synths, and this was perfect. Not too light, but fairly springy without feeling flimsy. There are some assignable knobs and faders, and the manual was pretty clear about how to do this. No presets, obviously, as this is just a controller. It does USB, and is so light that it would probably be great for this.

The velocity is pretty good, if a little stiff at the "slow" end. Aftertouch is okay.

Haven't gigged with it, but it seems as reliable as any similar controller.

Overall, this is a nice little controller especially if you are using it to control anything oldschool or oldschool-sounding. I use it with my Oberheim Matrix 1000 and can almost kid myself it's an OBX. Haven't used it for USB yet.
