Ease of Use : 10
This is a real analog synth with 3 oscillators. Very easy to use if you know something about synths. Real analog sound, very thick and big (although it's a small synth). Very nice 32 step sequencer.

Features : 10
Monophonic. 3 oscillators with 16'/8'/4'octaves and triangle/sawtooth/square shapes, each one (you can mix them as you want). Two of the three oscillators can be detune and you can get 32' and 2'octave,as well as any interval you want. There's a level for each oscillator and a total tuning for the three. The oscillator three could be used for the LFO that can work on the VCF,on the VCO or on both(as in a Minimoog). There's a knob "Modulator" for the amount of LFO you want. The filter section has a 24dB LPF with cutoff/emphasis(resonance)/contour(envelope amount applied to the filter). Also there are two envelopes, one for the filter and another for the VCA, with attack/decay/sustain, where the decay could work as release(again, as in a Minimoog). A keyboard tracking on/off. A release on/off. A VCO mod on/off. A VCF mod on/off.A master volumen... and a 32 step sequencer! And you can store 15 sequences in memory. There are 2 octaves buttons(instead of keys) to program the sequences or to play notes. You can connect a master keyboard with midi in/out.

Expressiveness/Sounds : 9
Real analog synth sounds. A very good sequencer(that's what I want it for). Small, very very small. You can take to any gig . It's a Minimoog little brother, but very much cheaper.

Reliability : 10
No problem in a gig. After 5 minutes, it keeps pitch stable all night(or all day).

Customer Support : 10
Yeaaaah!!! You wouldn't believe it, but this guy (M.Fricke, the one that makes this synth) repairs your non-working MFB synth for free!!!
I bought mine second hand and when I get it(by mail)it didn't work right at all. I sent an email to MFB and M.Fricke answered me inmediatelly telling me to send him the synth and he would repair it for free(you have to pay only for the shipping,of course).I sent it to him and after 1 week I got my MFB1 synth as new.
This things don't happen nowadays. Thanks M.Fricke.

Overall Rating : 10
