Had this piano for years now. Very reliable, no nonsense, and straightforward to use. Just how a stage piano should be - very few controls and switches. Encourages you just to get on with playing it. 6 presets, but the most used ones are 1) the stereo piano, and 4) the rhodes simulation. Once you have the 3 band eq set right, most importantly, it feels like an instrument, rather than a keyboard linked to a sample player. Since buying it ages ago, i've had a go on many other digital piano instruments, that from a spec point of view are far superior, but this feels subjectively like a proper playing experience, rather than say, a recording of a piano. Probably lo-fi compared to many new models, but sits in a mix well.

64 voices in theory, but I'd say it was nearer to 32 on the main piano preset. If you use the sustain pedal a lot it tends to catch up with you, which is noticeable, but you learn to adapt. Action is good. Light, really, but I actually prefer this to roland or yamaha, which I find a bit polite. Nearer to a kawaii feel, subjectively. Reverb ( room, hal1, hall2 - dont know why they put hall reverbs on pianos - it always sounds so muddy) Other effects are chorus, Flanger and Tremelo - no user settings though. You really need to have chorus on all the time on the main piano in practice. Importantly, there is a 3 way keyboard sensitivity toggle to suit yor playing style. Simple 1 track real time recorder - useful for practicing riffs etc but wouldn't use it for anything longer.

Not Hi-Fi or super realistic as I have mentioned, but is very expressive in use, in that it doesn't get in the way of any music you are playing. Probably best for rock / ballads. For recording, possibly some classic use, providing you mix with some other instruments. For learning or practicing classics it would be more than fine. Same key repetition rate isn't too fast on the action, but you only get that on fairly pricey models, so wouldn't use it for drum programming for instance, or very advanced playing.

Very reliable. Built solidly. VERY heavy though. I think it would do well on a gig providing that you were not the one having to lug it about. If you have a roadie, fine, but really for the studio / home in terms of weight

If lost or stolen, I would probably seek one out a gain. Absolutely worth what I paid for it. At the price a much better overall playing experience than some of the other big names. Been playing ( amateur, if I'm honest) ) for many years (I'm 52!). Gear comes and goes - only now settled into virtual gear, so a lot less wiring to do now, which means I play more !
The only thing I hate now is that it's white/cream coloured so looks a little polite. Wish it had the abilty to select midi channels. As an instrument, it feels very musical, just like an upright.

Nice and simple to use, as you would need for onstage. 3-band eq is a nice touch.

Action is not bad for hard playing, but for a soft touch it's not so good - there's a fine line between loud and soft, with not enough in-between. fine for jerry lee lewis, not so good for chopin.

I use it as a straight piano-substitute on stage and as such it's great. The effects and other sounds are pretty weedy, but the piano sound is convincing enough when playing with a rock band, and that's all i use it for.
The sound is a little cold for my taste, but i run it through a fender twin which helps a lot.

It's pretty robust and has taken a few knocks with no problems. Easy to move around without risking damage. so far very dependable.

I broke a key (low down luckily) and attempted several times to get a replacement from oberheim - got absolutely nowhere.

The polyphone ist 64. There are 3 piano sounds and e-piano sounds. There's reverb (Room, Hall, Hall2) and phase (chorus, modulation, flanger) FX on board. Velocity sensitivity can be switched to normal, hard, light and there's some little recorder in there you can perhaps use for pratctice.
MIDI in/out is ok but you cannot change channels! Therefore some minus...
They Keyboard does not feeld like a real piano but it feels so much better than any lightweighted keyboard you find in synths.

The piano sounds are really great. It has the best piano sounds I know. Note all those little gimmicks like the sound of the damper when you press the pedal or the sound of the hammers swinging back etc.
The onboard FX are not the world's best FX but they do fit very fine to the sounds.

Oh whell what would you think... Of course I would try to get another Cosmos if it got lost. I've been using it for about 1,5 years now. Every day. And it does not get boring.
I tested some other stage pianos but the sound of the Cosmos just caught me and wouldn't let me go out of the shop without the promise to buy it.
But keep in mind: The features are limited. Other devices might have more features you might need. But they also might cost twice the money and bring half the sound quality.

Polyphony is 64 (I only have ten fingers so perfect for me).
It has 3 kinds of reverb (2 room and a hall), chorus flanger etc.
The sound options are 3 acoustic (steinway etc.) and 3 elctric (Wurlitzer, Rhodes last is unknown to me but still fine).

Nice sampling with a very full sound (There is even the sound of the sustain pedal being pressed)
