Presets are cool........ options for making your own are fine as any other unit. Takes a bit of practice to get used to the 88 led display. Unit came with a quick card that spells out the paramiters. I have and can email or fax it to you if you want it. I suggest taping it to the wall cause you will need it if you are a new user. The Manual is very detailed and a must... again I have one and will send it free if you want it.

This unit is packed with features..... a bit of a chore to navigate through the wristwatch logic but its worth it. Four programable foot pedal jacks and midi echo help out for live use. They have covered every angle possible in arpeggiation and packed it into a little grey box. I have yet to see a PC application that does as well as this little guy.

Very responsive in all aspects ..... foot tap feature is a bit quirky but again getting used to it is all it takes.

Reliability : 8
Not much to go wrong here. I have heard about system crashes when doing data dumps but I use it in the studio and personally really do not have much need to store up lots of patches.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Have not needed service, however I had to bring it out of storage recently to find it had a stroke. The operating system was messed up bad. To resolve this issue hold down the left and right keys simultainiously wile turning it on and it will go through a sequence of led patterns. You may have to do this a few times but that should restore things. Also there is a battery on the PC board and mine is sure to be dead after all those years in mothballs. This can cause such qliches and prevent you from holding any patches. The battery is a DL2032 3 volts. It should cross with a replacement part at an electronics store. Any tech can replace this battery for you by resoldering it to the board.

I would be lost without it. Its a dream for anyone doing techno trancy stuff and wants to add a real uniqe thing to their music. It fab for just jamming out with the drum machines and some nice string pads.

A midi arpeggiator with lots of neat features , can clone and replicate inversed arps on other midi channels and stuff off the original line i think?

Features : No Opinion
its very cool , i had worked it out in 5 minutes ,does amazing complex stuff if you want and has a nice intelligence of its own , seems rock solid timing wise .

Expressiveness/Sounds : 10
Very cool fx , it reminded me how much potential there is in arps and stuff.I think this gadget can do way more than ive sussed out yet and by programming quite complex 8 note arps and stuff and playing in subtle ways you cna get some leovely complex very musical results even as a non chord or scale knowing idiot like me !

Reliability : 10
seems solid though i have heard they can go weird at times...but some have said this adds to the interesting results!

Overall if you need a good arpeggiator then this is as good as ive found , nice result and programmable. The enxt best thing i would say is a Korg karma and the software to create your own user patterns and more !which i dont own right now but intend to try asap .
