Limited to 00-99 voice selection, 3 way keyboard split is good though. Nice workhorse, but outdated.

It's a controller, so naturally there are no built-in sounds.
I have used this for all styles.
Very good synth-action keyboard. a little loud if the keys are hit hard however.
Sends velocity (2 different velocity scales) and mono aftertouch. Both can be toggled.
Sends note-ons over a wide range. (Has a transposer control over several octaves)
Splits can be programmed and overlapped.

Yep. This has been gigged and lugged and loaded, and trucked, and stored, and hauled. Two keys broke off in an unfortunate stand collapse, but a little Krazy Glue and they were good as new and to date have not broken off again.
I could use most other keyboards as an emergency controller... but I love this one

At the time I got this, Oberheim had just been acquired by Gibson, and they got a manual to me inexpensively.

If this were lost, I would SEEK OUT another one... No other lightweight MIDI controller is this good, The Roland A-30 weighs more than this does and is harder to program!
It has one major drawback: the firmware only recognizes program changes 00-99, so it cannot be used to select programs 100-127 in MIDI
Looks like the Oberheim synths of the day. Good.
