Ease of Use : 10
100 presets for a wide range of effects. editing couldn't be easier as there is a knob for every parameter except mode, MIDI channel, and a few other functions. but for every parameter of the mixer, filter, amp and envelope generators, there is a knob. many functions can be assigned to MIDI control.

Features : 9
this unit features a 24db. 4 pole analog voltage controlled filter, amplifier each with envelope generator for processing any input, such as synths, guitar, bass, and anything else you can think off. it can be triggered from MIDI, or audio trigged. it has 3 inputs, a voltage controlled filter, voltage controlled amp, and velocity sensitivity. there are jacks for inputs, CV pedal input, MIDI in/out/thru, and power. envelope generator can be set to single trigger, or multi trigger(retriggers every time you strike another key even if you're already holding one down.) all of this comes in a one rack space unit.

Expressiveness/Sounds : 9
this unit is great for a wide range of applications. it is a resonant, analog filter much like a Moog filter. it really fattens up digital, virtual analog synths. it can also be used as an auto wah for an electric guitar or clavinet.

Reliability : 10
built like a tank. solid feel to knobs and connectors. typical heavy duty build quality for which Peavey is known.

Customer Support : 10
I once bought a 15 year old bass guitar by Peavey. I wrote to them with the serial number and model as I was curious as to its vintage. they sent me a letter stating when it was made. what other company would do that? it's my understanding that they will service ANYTHING they've ever made going back to 1965. practically every city in America has a Peavey dealer with a service shop. if not, you can send it direct to Peavey and they'll fix it. I've owned several Peavey amps and other Peavey products, and have NEVER had problems with any of them.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been using this with my Yamaha FS1R. it really makes it sound fat as hell. the FS1R filter is great, but when I hook it up to the Peavey filter, it's like KABOOOOM!!! the only gripe I have with it is it uses a wall wart instead of having an internal power supply. given the price VS. features compared to it's competition, this is one of the best values out there. an unbelievably fat, fat filter in a convenient single rack space unit. I DO wish it had an LFO for those Pink Floyd helicopters, ELP sample and hold, and Edgar Winter Frankenstein weirdness. oh well.
