Ease of Use : 7
Getting good sounds is not that easy, but the overall layout of this unit is very straightforward. Every rotary and/or switch has an obvious, dedicated function.

Features : 8
Four independent drum synths (channels). One "special effects" channel with an LFO and a Run Generator. Volume controls per channel in addition to general volume and general pitch.

Expressiveness/Sounds : 10
This thing is monstrous. Never heard anything like it. From noisy hihats to boooooming basskicks (well beyond the TR-808's range I might add). Thers is nothing like it!

Reliability : 10
Nothing will break this unit. It is built like a tank.

Customer Support : 3
Not a clue.

Overall Rating : 10
I would definitely try to get my hands on one of these babies if it ever got stolen (god forbid). The price I paid is nothing compared to the power that the SDS-3 packs. 800 to 1000 Euro would be a fair price for this unique drumsynth.
