Ease of Use : 10
This unit is being "dumped" by certain catalogue outfits for $80. Put some strap buttons on it and one can use it for synth bass or guitar emulations I have numerous Studiologic units and they hold up well. Junk the software adn use it for a budget strap on. I use these units for synth base. Four octaves is more than enough range!

Features : 8
You can put strap buttons on this and this budget unit can suffice for strap on use. It can be powered by a 9V battery. Go ahead if you have the money and buy a Roland strap on controller for $400 . It will have a few features you might utilize but for $80 and tax you can make do.

Expressiveness/Sounds : No Opinion
Velocity curve is fine. Work with your sound module for expressiveness capability. I use Yamaha TX81Zs which can be customized for response.

Reliability : 10
This controller is light and can be strapped on so treat it gently.

Customer Support : No Opinion
You shouldn't need after purchase support! Get a life and don't pester the manufacturer.

Overall Rating : 10
When you ponder the history of strap on keyboard controllers you should be content that one can purchase a light MIDI four octave controller for $80. Pioneers in strap-ons going back to the late seventies would have horror stories of expensive prototypes so consider yourself lucky to be able to own something that can do the job for a modest investment.
