Ease of Use : 10
I have been playing in live bands for around 3 years and the Kn-920 was the first Pro board that I have bought and still using. It was so easy to use, you could practicaly switch it on and begin to play! All options are straight forward. The manual is very helpful and i recomend reading it first. ITS SO EASY!!!

Features : 6
The polyphony on this model is quite good unlike the kn-5000 because its poly is too fake! the built in effects are not that imressive at all! I mean the have got some pre-recorded sequences from the sond bank, thats all! No Samples! I guess the only two features that have kept me going with it is that it has a Compser section for programing you own rhythms and which allows you to save on 3.5 floppy (which is built in) Using the floppy drive you can load midi's and edit them too. It also has a 16 track sequencer which is easy to use. This board is flexible but has its LIMITS!

Expressiveness/Sounds : 4
The quality of sound is not too bad for its price but you do eventualy find its faults! believe me! The sound effects are quite advanced for this machine, eg. Digital delay, Panning ect. In my line of work I play Latin, Rock, Disco, Arabic, 80's funk, Dance, traditional..... You name it! and out of all these styles, i have to say that the whole Technics range suits the LATIN!! The brass and precussion are quite good! The Kn-920's aftertouch os not bad over all.

Reliability : 3
Well here is the down fall! The reliability of the Kn-920 is not all that good. For example: if you are playing a full rhythm with a clapping effect and you use a octave sound such as Brass or Strings, the clapping begins to cut out, and the timing begins to play up. I have tried this experiment with the whole technics range and found the same problem! I have never used a back up because im pretty sure it should be okay.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never reached this point

Overall Rating : 3
If this board was ever stolen, I would be so happy! hehe I would thank the guy who stole it because the amount I spent was not worth it, it cost $2200 (Australian) and now 3 years later its market value is only $700! My next key board is definatly going to be a KORG i30 or KORG TRITON!! Now thats a different story! If you want quality for live and recording and the ultimate music experiance, GET YOUR SELF A KORG!
