Wersi GS700 Scala

Using version 4 software. Presets are very good. Especially if you are new to making your own. You can use them until you sort out what yoou want. Not really tried editing patches yet. Manual is fine for some things but not always clear in others but you get used to theformat in which it is written. I really threw myself in at the deep end with this instrument.

Keyboard action is great. Built in effects are very good indeed.Have already managed to put new board in.
I am winning with it but it does take time to get used to if you have never owned one before and are not into all the technical side ie. midis.boards,sequencers etc. I am so new to it all that I have tofind out what they all are first.Only had one organ before and it was 15 yrs old when I swopped to Wersi. It did not even have any midi capabilities what so ever.

Instruments are very realistic and easy to use. Works well for all types of music. Onboard effects I find very good now I have got the hang of it. I think it is getting easier to use each day. I learn something new each day about the instrument and music in general.

Have had excellent dealings with the company. Have had upgrades and even had a hiccup where I had to send for the engineer.Promptly came the following day and had it put to rights in no time. No problems since.Support is good - always someone on the other end of a phoneline to help if necessary.

If it were stolen I would be heart broken - could not afford to buy it again and would not be satisfied with any other product now. There is just a very special sound to the Wersi. Wish it had a cover for the keyboards so I did not have to keep dusting it each day. It is the thing I turn to whenever I want to relax. Not a great player myself but what I do play I enjoy twice as much on this machine.
The best instrument on the market in my opinion - well done Wersi.

Sound editing is easy whether it be the advanced sounds or Wersi's fantastic Long Wave sounds. The inclusion of the sound editor in version 3.30 was a great help in tweaking the sounds to my own personal chioce.
The manual is fab! It is very humerous and very informative to the home player and also the advanced technician.

the Polyphony is 144 notes and is just about to be upgraded to infinite polophony. The keyboard action is great with the chioce of changing the keyboard dynamics from low to high. The built in pro effects are great - some really smart sounds reverbs and dsps.
The new Scala is open ended - it can recieve huge software upgrades over CD rom or internet and Hardware boards.
The midi spec is great - it is GM and XG as well as Wersi's new GM system which uses the Long wave sounds.
The sequencer that the scala uses is in fact Cubasis VST. So you can sequence audio and midi. It also has an "Easy record" to record and multi track Audio (Hard disk recording)

The best sounds in this beast is all of them! they have such attention that it is hard to isolate a single sound. The vocals are real samples of vocals which have not been degraded in quality, the strings are luschious and have the bows of strings, the piano captures the resonance of the Hammers and vibrating strings. The horns and brass are amazing and the oboe is the most beautiful sound i've heard. The organ sounds (Over 1000 preset vis Wersi OX7 drawbar system) are out of this world and the theatre organs are sampled stereo from a real WurliTzer organ. There are great combination sounds such as orchestra where the sound includeds 3-4 sounds layered over each other and at certain pionts on the keyboard.
This organ works well with all music!!!!!!
The velocity of the keys is very pleasnt and also the aftertouch effect is very good. Not at all cheap sounding like other top of the range organs.
