I am Using XGWorks on Windows 98 and DOP (Voyetra) on Windows 2000. The plugin editor work only on windows 98. How he have only 5 preset sounds.. sine, tri, saw.. he come with 8 sampled CDs of really impressives sounds.. The editing is really easy when you had learn the really good manual.. There are only few trickly sets on using effects.. Is really important to understand the difference between single and multiparts..

Well is a monster !! 32 parts and 120 poliphonies... (16 / 64 A4000). My version is really full of add-on. I installed (internally) 128 MB of memory, a ZIP 100MB, a 8.2 GB IDE HD and (externally) a Yamaha CD RW, a floppy disk and a SCSI 8GB Hard Disk (shared with my SCSI PC). Is not standard to share a disk with two SCSI but.. if you be carefull it works fine (only on Windows 98 because NT may have problem on sharing SCSI disks). I buy an expansion card with Digital and Optical I/O more 4 independent outputs.. (really cheap near 150$)

Tons of effects. Only a caveat.. when you are working on multiparts (with a sequencer) you only can use a Basic Receive Channel and all the Parts Effects go thru this basic channel.. the result is that you only can use on Sequencer performances 6 (3 on A4000) simultaneous effects. Each part will be inserted at differents levels but all thru the same receive channel.

It's a sampler! It's depend on how effective will be your sampling.. I use it especially for drums, strings, guitars, pads and winds instruments.
