Ease of Use : 10
I think this is actually the lowest level model of Yamaha Clavinova pianos. If I'm not wrong it was first introduced in 1988. It is a 76 heavy weighted keys electric piano, which uses only 3 sounds - Piano, Elec. Piano and Harpsichord. THIS IS A *NON* PRO INSTRUMENT !!
It can be nice for students at their first steps, but definately is far from be good enough to be used by pro's. Not considering the keyboard itself, which as I already mentioned is very nice. Can be mostly used as a MIDI controller for other Piano samples.

Features : 3
The keyboard is VERY good. It is full sized and has a real piano feel. Actually, the keyboard is the only reason why one would like to have it as the sounds are not good at all. The internal amplification system is not good at all, the plastic case buzzes at high levels, not much volume in it anyway. It is only 8 notes polyphonic !

Expressiveness/Sounds : 1
This is one of the very first Yamaha electric digital pianos. There are onyl 3 sounds. This instrument could be very nice if it had a decent piano sample put into it. The fact is that Yamaha probably didn't have any at the year of 1988, the reason why the CLP-250 basic piano sound does not sound any better than any of the Piano sounds Yamaha put into their 80s PSR organ models !!! Very disappoining, but also makes sense as the digital sampling was at its first steps back in the days... The elec. piano sound is descent.

THIS IS NOT A PRO. INSTRUMENT !

Reliability : 7
The one I checked out has a problem with the volume slider / phones input, but the keyboard itslef was well kept and 100% working.

Customer Support : No Opinion
